I’m larger chested and had stopped wearing my button-up cardigans because they always gap at the bust area (no matter the size), so I’m THRILLED to be able to rewear my cardigans in this tres chic way! This is so helpful, Alice. Other than jeans, I think what NYers wear in autumn would be suitable for Paris in the fall too, as the weather is quite similar. I love wearing leather at this time of year. Those Manolo Blahniks are my favorite flat, btw. Dark denim looks chic, I agree and that outfit you show of all dark blue with the Blahniks is perfect. My typical uniform is black with a splash of white or color, so I think I have what I need for my winter trip next year. So smart to reverse a cardigan, it is like having two sweaters in one. Love that red purse. And those loafers look cute with socks! Thank you for all this, Alice.
Thank you Liz If I visit NY next fall I hope to make a video about what to wear in NY but yes weather is kind of similar even style can be slightly different depending where you are in NY. Although I dress exactly like I would dress in Paris
@@Aliceinparisofficial If you are in Manhattan, you will be perfectly dressed, like a native but better! Especially wearing those chic hats. I wish people in LA wore those hats and carried an umbrella in the rainy season here (winter), but they don't and get soaked.

Word or warning about long coats - unless you lift the hem you cannot walk up stairs in them. You could fall over. Also if you are sitting outside the coat will flop on the (usually muddy) ground. I have taken my long coat to a tailor and had it shortened.
Yes when I say long coat I did not mean a coat long upon the floor. The ideal length would be around the calf max.
@@Aliceinparisofficial I agree mid calf is ideal, but so many long coats are now down to ankles. My coat was ankle length - it is now mid calf!

This was perfect timing! I am coming to Paris in mid September and couldn't decide what to bring. I don't want to bring too much, as I want to shop and bring somethings back. Jeans are always perfect in America and good to know they translate well in France. I also will bring some slacks. Do you think cashmere sweaters are appropriate, or would they be too hot? This was a really fun video!

Your videos are a breath of fresh air. I am so DONE with the many videos that make it look like every other person has an Hermes , Chanel or other $$$ designer bag! A small African country could be fed for a year with all the wasted $$$$$ spent on these bags..... so wasteful.
