    I was there in the 1980s. The movie 'Catch 22' with Allan Arkin was filmed there in the 60s. I stayed Sol y Mar resort.

      @@WifingAround No really this video killed it! You two literally made my day. So happy, still exploring and traveling, while the rest of the USA is just seemingly scared and sad. Such good vibes from you two! I'm in NM, so It would be about an 8 hour drive for me. I'll definitely reach out. Mexico is literally my favorite place to travel, and your videos are so great to watch! Please keep making travel content!

    Great video and great idea about bringing a table for the shore dives! Maybe you mentioned it, but how deep were the shore dives? Also, were you concerned about your vehicle when underwater? Some places like Bonaire have a high incidence of diver-targeted theft.

    • @WifingAround
      @WifingAround  2 года назад +1

      Ahhh thank you and sorry for the delayed reply! RUclips is weird about notifications sometimes. Our shore dives were around 40 feet max. Since we were so shallow, we were able to stay under for over an hour each time! As far as the locking system, we had a regular key cut that Erika straps to her gear in a pocket of her BCD. We lock the car before we get in with then alarm. Then she manually unlocks the car with the key (causing the alarm to go off) and is able to turn off the alarm with her actual key that she's hidden somewhere in the car. It's not perfect but it works. We are actually going to Bonaire this summer- hopefully nothing bad will happen!

    • @danflaherty1132
      @danflaherty1132 2 года назад

      @@WifingAround No worries. Enjoy Bonaire! The general recommendation there is to leave NO valuables in the vehicle while diving, and to unlock doors and windows so they're not broken when you return from your dive.

    Cyndi and Erika - You get to laugh out loud at me. I just watched your San Carlos video and I'm chastising myself for being so chicken to travel into Mexico. I grew up in Latin America, so I'm fluent in the language and culture. I've traveled all over Baja and Sonora camping by dirt bike 40 years ago. If anybody should feel comfortable travelling in Mexico, it should be me. But, I've been reluctant to travel there recently due to the violence, kidnappings, and narco crap that goes on there these days. But there you are... just the two of you... all by yourselves... driving down to San Carlos with your scuba gear, having a grand ol' time, enjoying the diving, the restaurants, the sunsets, and so on. And... here I am, stuck in my little casita south of Tucson, afraid to travel into Mexico. How pathetic. Well, that ends with my second viewing of your entertaining video of your most recent San Carlos trip. Thank you for your excellent video and for pushing me out the door into Mexico. Bless you both, and may you have a wonderful life together.

    • @WifingAround
      @WifingAround  2 года назад +1

      @@stephendenlinger3514 Hey Stephen! We are actually in southern California for the winter (we have some sweet videos coming soon!) I would say in my experience the hottest most humid months are June-August. September it starts to cool off a bit, but there's a higher likelihood of storms and things if you are planning to go in the water. October is the PERFECT time of year to go- we always try to sneak down there around then. Hope this helps!!
