Great mix. I’m inclined to Melodyne the vocals a touch.

You are a professional mixing engineer now Mike. Do you also have your own Studio now? I so have a lot of respect for your knowledge and the fact you are willing to share it with us my friend. But I never really understand the difference between a mixing engineer and a mastering engineer. I do it in the same project so why a mixing engineer doesn't? Thanks for sharing Mike🍻🥁😎👍

Hi Rob, thanks for watching! Well, because mastering is not simply making it louder or throwing a limiter plug-in on the master output (what most people unfortunately do).

Thanks for sharing your workflow. Stumbled across your channel by chance looking for tips for Superior Drummer 3 in which I bought the new SDX because of your review. Great informative videos. I do have a question maybe it is a Reaper thing but I see the channel are set up backwards compared to studio one. What I mean is your master buss is on the left side verse the right like Studio Ono. Is this because Reaper can be customized?

It’s set that way by default when you open Reaper, but you can customize it. I never changed it though, that’s why I still use it that way.

Mike i need your help once again but not sure if you are able to help. Im using logic on a mac and superior drummer 3 as a plugin. How do i export each of the tracks as an audio stem, or even as a midi stem? Keeping all sd3 sounds and velocity intact?

Route them as individuals tracks into Logic. Then print/render those tracks, should work that way.
