- Back to my neverending quest for sub 3 Narga. It should be pretty easy if I can manage to stop the limp, stopping limp is hard tho :(. Decent run but I did miss his head a couple times, so sub 3 should still be just possible even without limp stop. Enjoy!

Played the old monster hunter games on PSP and 3DS and thinking about buying a switch to play this.. Brings back memories! You are a beast dude :)
You should! I bought a Switch just for this, 1000 hours later I have no regrets! Best combat of any MH game imo. If you played the old games you’re a beast too ;)
G rank narga is such a different fight compared to its low or high rank counterparts. It's so good at staying close to you on the offensive, which only makes it that much easier to punish it :P

You’re right, G rank Narga is very easy to punish 😁. Sometimes if you get a silver/gold crown one it can be tough to outrun some of his attacks cause he covers a lot more distance with his jumps. But the smaller ones just get destroyed by heavy weapons like gs and hammer 😁.

If he decides to turn the wrong way at the end there’s not much you can do... only his head takes good damage 🙄 probably gonna quit this for now and come back later for sanity reasons lol

I love how smooth brave style is :) I've almost finished all high rank quests in the village, Gonna finish high rank in the hub soon after. Never got to G-rank in the portable monhun's dunno what to expect yet :P Any suggestions what mixed set should i make before hitting up G-rank ?
It’s honestly not too hard in this game. Styles and arts make it easier for sure. I never played GS going through the game so I’m not quite sure lol. Whatever gets you crit draw, crit boost, focus is probably best. Can look up mhgu armor set search and put in your charms. I was a hammer main and used full rathalos for pretty much the whole game so I don’t know much about sets 😁

@@sebastiansosnowski3859 no problem! It’s fun and actually really safe. Be sure to make the elder weapons when you hit G rank, very easy to make and good for hammer and gs.
@@caolanberg3837 I went through all high rank with fashion hunter gear xD namely, i'm rocking full nargacuga set and narga hammer, 100 affinity with a couple of decos is pretty nice :P Gotta change it tho, i have feeling that's barely optimal :D

Can someone please explain what the way to go for GS in MHGU?
Hit and run builds with crit draw etc?
Or full combo builds with exploiting weaknesses etc?
So utilising the full potential of GS through "full comboing" play style or "hit-and-run" play style?
If you google search mhgu compendium, the first result should bring you to a Reddit post with a link to a spreadsheet showing the fastest times for the weapons and the build the player used. Greatsword seems pretty even between hit and run and full affinity build. Very helpful to look at if you’re not sure what to use against a monster

I already thought hit-and-run is the way to go, but it seems so boring to me. I dont want so spam one Button for the whole fight ^^
@@Kai_Aru I don’t like hit and run as much either. For most fights, valor GS is really good no matter which way you play. Some fights though (Tigrex, Brachy, Zinogre, probably a few more) hit and run just works a lot better
First i play mhxx, i use gs valor and i take quest village 4 star hunt nargacuga, and i need 25 minutes to clear the mission :'( sad. It's normal or not for newbie like me?
Sorry for late response. I think it’s normal for a first time player. Only his head takes good damage so if you are hitting other areas the fight will take a lot longer. Just have to practice more and it will get easier. Also you probably don’t have a good armor set yet? Skills like focus, attack up, crit draw, weakness exploit help out a lot
@@caolanberg3837 yes, i don't have good armor. Now my armor is jaggi set...
Jaggi is a good start. Attack up is a strong skill at the start of the game. Volvidon armor for focus skill is also very good. And village 5 star has Rathalos, whose armor has attack up and weakness exploit. Having more damage will make your times a lot faster
I might use this and try (keyword TRY) to swap earplugs for a bit of attack up
Hope your hunts with him are going well. The fastest run actually uses earplugs with absolute readiness. More attack is always good too though

Im sure crit draw/black x set is fine too and probably kills him just as fast, I just like this playstyle more. Lion’s maw probably isn’t as good as evasion/readiness art though but it’s fun

So that’s lions maw. Their hunter art shown at the bottom, you can equip it at your house box when you use greatsword
I can't beat it with valor gs,it just fucking impossible to dodge the attacks
It does take a bit of practice to get it every time, I’ve fought Narga alllooot lol. The evasion arts are amazing, you can also run a crit draw set and sheathe after your attack, black X set is really nice. Evasion +1 is also really nice for Narga, at the cost of some damage
