Overall I'm very happy with the gameplay updates they've made since launch. Their general philosophy with these updates is to make the player's actions faster and more fluid, as well as to push the player to use more spirit meter by significantly improving spirit acquisition and empowering both martial arts and wizardry spells. If they make a sequel, I hope they take the time to flesh out weapon identities further. We still don't have any kind of motion inputs even though the Nioh games and Stranger of Paradise both had them in abundance. Wo Long 2 could benefit from them.
@@slipstream7324well sort of, unfortunately there are a lot of casual gamers who will base their gaming purchases on what their favorite gaming youtuber says, ya know the type of people who only play the newest AAA titles, unfortunately these d*ck riding casuals are the majority, not like us serious gamers who know what a good game looks like, wo long is 10 times better when it first launched, and the problem with this mindset is, is that most of the ppl currently didn't even experience the game when it first launched, most smart gamers wait for sales, so they don't experience the launch product, they come in many updates later, but most of what they see on RUclips is day one playthroughs, not a very accurate window into what the game is today, but regardless the game has sold millions of copies, its hard to find the exact number, but the steam version alone sold over 1 million copies and more ppl game on consoles so it would be pretty accurate to say that both the playstation and Xbox versions probably sold more than the PC version, so I think it's pretty safe to say there are at least 3 million copies sold, but probably much more, and it's still a pretty active game on RUclips, there are still hundreds of daily videoes regarding combat, builds and customization, doesn't seem too far behind nioh 2 in terms of online engagement, and figuring koei tecmos dynasty warriors series sells much less than the team ninja soulslikes yet they still make the warriors games, I think it's pretty safe to assume we will see future nioh and wo long titles as well as future final fantasy origins titles in conjunction with square enix, I think team ninja will continue the final fantasy origins project with a action JRPG prequal to FF2, basically a sequal to stranger of paradise but based on the world of FF2 but before the events of FF2, from what I've read wo long is much more popular in both Japan and China than anywhere else, I've read that the dynasty warriors series has been one of the best selling franchises in China, and since wo long is based on the same time period of Chinese history as dynasty warriors it explains why wo long sold so well in China
Awesome video. A lot of people were dismissive of Wo Long early on and I think for some valid reasons but it's nice to see all of these changes and to also have a full video showcasing them in one single spot.
This is a great video man. I bought the game at launch but haven't played it because I knew that so much would change with the release of all the DLC so I waited to experience it with all the changes implemented. Thanks so much for this.
This shows your integrity and dedication and comprehensiveness; this game did not deserve you. But even with most of these changes that should have been base at launch, I cannot forgive the game. I did not buy the DLC so I cannot even change the skills on my weapons. Horrendous.
Great video, just started playing again since launch and didn’t know most of this new stuff. Was wondering about the weird blue sparks on my double swords.
I'll probably give Wo-Long another try. Two of my biggest complaints on release were spirit gain and locking spells behind morale. Looks like both of those were changed
Nice video man! Very well put together. Team Ninja should hire you as their marketing guy 😊 the changes look good. I was initially disappointed with this game, but they are definitely doing their best to make the game better and better
So, is the DLC worth getting? Bought the game at launch and kind of shelved it for a bit after some playtime. I want to give it an honest attempt but I'm not sure if it's worth the trouble.
new weapons/bosses (dlc2 in particular) will give you the best experience. with extra spirit bars and better spirit management, you get to play more aggressively with more martial arts available.
Igy kb leragadtam a dual halberdnal. 😄 Kar hogy utolag tudjak megpakolni ezeket a jatekokat tartalommal, igy aki mar vegig vitte, nem biztos hogy ujra fogja jatszani, vagy folytatni az adott karaktert.
Pls give the ability to put element scaling on weapons!!! I hate there there is not one fire scaling dual curved sabres ughh its my favorite weapon w the movesets
*Gameplay updates*
Water phase debuff also increases damage received in wizardry balance.

Perfectly said, I 100% agree.
I also enjoy the game but how well did it do overall?
Seems most people dismissed it at launch.

Same boat, bought it at launch and was kinda disappointed but I'm glad they decided to actually change a bunch of stuff
Best tutorial from nioh to wo long
Thankful, my sensei
you are welcome
Hey man SUPER GOOD video, I’ve returned to the game and this is so helpful
ok, really nice video, this actually makes me want to give the game another try
thank you very much, i was thinking of getting back into the game now that the final dlc is out

Well done, thanks.
Thanks for the Video, i think now i can funally play wu long
Hi , can you please do a all armor video , regular game/ three DLCs please 🙏
Slash spear running attack now links into 2nd chain normal attack instead of 3rd
I thought that would fit in weapon running attacks which everyone will be able to notice by playing it
Nice video. Amplifier damage and overpower burst doesn’t work with spells. They must fix it asap.
Hope so
nice video, could you make a complilation of jumpable attacks for normal mobs?
its going to be difficult especially with enemy movesets being different on every difficulty, but i'll see what i can do

there would be a part 2 of this video, with whip, cetus and other stuff ?
for dlc weapons, not really since i have already made a showcase of those weapons.
didnt talk about quality of life change? like auto slavage, auto sprint etc
That would be for another video with build and QoL features. This one mostly focus on aspects that involves gameplay combat.

there is scaling now, but as gear stat.
Who to get tomes? I'm never getting one
it drops on rising difficulty or higher (look in character/demon directory to see who drops them). its pretty much rng.
good shit 👍
what version?
should be complete version (dlc3)
Nice video! While Reddit doomster: "you need to buy DLC to enjoy the game?"
bruh 360p quality is from 1935 year....
youtube is processing longer than expected, pls wait a little longer 😑
