Be neat to turn that internal visor into a flip down Oled screen connected to a full spectrum 360 camera system built right into the bike and helmet with a switch on the handle bar's to cycle through the different light spectrum's. Give rider's an ultimate edge when riding. 😊😉
This helmet looks absolutely badass. I have the Quicksilver color with the silver faceshield and it is a winner. As far as fitment is concerned, I wear an XL in everything. This XL fits VERY tight side to side. I would definitely call it a long oval, not an intermediate oval. It tore the top of my ear once. It will eventually break in and fit me, just be aware. Check out the Battlescar 2 version, too cool.
I’m having similar issue, it hurts to take it off lol. My ears are the ones taking most of the brunt of it but once it’s on, it feels secure and tight.
Slinging lead, is it squeeking? I tried 20+ Airflites so far in XL, and they are all squeeking when on head, at the slightest smallest movement of the head. It is more then annoying, so much that I have sent back every single one of them despite it's marveleous looks. Any advice?
@@szaesz8190, mine squeaks a little not too bad really, and I don't notice it on the road. Maybe mine doesn't squeak as bad because it fits so tight side to side? I don't know. Sounds like you just need to try different helmets. I also have a Schuberth C4 and it is NICE.
Howdy! This is the REAX Jackson Leather Jacket. I have a link to this product here > www.cyclegear.com/gear/reax-jackson-leather-jacket . Hope that helps, safe riding! -Brandon
Good review! I want to buy this helmet, but i'm not sure for the size. For a measurement of 23 inches of head circumference, do you think I should take the large or the medium? According to Icon, it's medium but I'm borderline between the two sizes.
anyone know why this helmet is soo damn massive, im used to having a shoei (L) and their helmets are known to be a little big because of its 5 layer system for it being snell rated yet im wearing one in the store and i feel like a bobble head doll. look at 3:32 is it because it has a internal sun visor? pretty lame if it is cus of that, they make all these cool visors yet the helmet inst modular but they add a internal sun visor.
Hey Dakkar, you're certainly not wrong. The overall shell is a bit on the larger side of the spectrum. I think Icon was trying to make a helmet that was a bit more unique and more of a "statement" helmet. With that said, I don't want to speak on behalf of ICON. Some riders love it and others, not so much, to each their own. Additionally, helmets with an internal sun visor do not get a SNELL certification as this feature technically creates a weak point inside the shell. For example, the Shoei GT-Air is a great helmet but because of the internal sun visor, you still give up that SNELL rating. I could discuss the pros and cons of helmets for hours but I will try to refrain. Let me know if you have questions about any lids or if you are looking for any recommendations, always happy to help out. Cheers! -Brandon
I really would love this helmet in my collection, but being in rainy Hamburg (Germany) I do rely on pinlock quite a lot. I just don't understand why this one doesn't have a pinlock version as well :-(
@@cyclegeartv im wondering does the shield lock somehow to lock the air out as other helmets do?they kind of click when u close the shield if u know what i mean
The shield on this helmet does have a small tab at the very bottom that "clicks" into place and creates a nice seal for the shield. Safe riding! -Brandon
Can't win them all, ha! We all come in different shapes and sizes, haha! Luckily we have a large range of different helmets to choose from. Ride safe! -Brandon
Thanks for reaching out. The tinted shields will hinder your vision pretty dramatically and none of the tinted shields should be utilized while riding at night. Keep it pinned! -Brandon
If they have the required safety rating then they are fine. Modular helmets offer some unique features which makes them really useful in winter/cold weather riding for instance because you can get a really good seal from the cold air with a neoprene neck roll.
I just got my Airflight in the mail today and I wear glasses....the fit is a little hard to do at first....(pushing the glasses on your face) but after you get them on, I couldn't really tell they were there. Pretty comfortable compared to my Icon Variant.
Am i the Only one who wants this because it has Tron Vibes?
I just bought the airflite in the synthwave color specifically for the 80s from vibe.

I like the jacket that the rider is wearing, can you share the brand and model?

Just answered my question!!!
Helmet attempts to rip my ears off every time I attempted to put it on. I'm long-oval with a narrow-ish head.
Thank you for the great videos on bike gear👍 no bullshit just info and facts 👌
Hey Flavio! Thanks for the awesome feedback, certainly appreciated. Keep it pinned! -Brandon
I'm super excited I'm going to pick one up today:D
Nice! I would definitely grab a tinted shield too, totally changes the look of the helmet. Keep it pinned! -Brandon
Awesome 👍
Plz bring that thing here in the phillipines 👍

What jacket is that!??? The full leather one in the shot with the guy on the bike. It has an octogonal logo...
What kind of jacket is he wearing and where can I get it?
Heard these things are loud?

isn't that the dude from revzilla?

They run very small
Same they fit like shit
How does it help with centrifugal force?
I have this helmet. Can you suggest ways to make it quieter? It's really noisy and I'd hate to part with it because of that.
Earplugs
This is a bad ass helmet, just bought one!!!
Can you put Rx on the visor?
which jacket is he wearing?
Does this helmet come with the dark smoke shield as well? Or just the clear?
Do you guys have a minnesota location?
Does it have antivaho?

I don't think that spoiler is going to help with centrifugal force.
Scrolled down to post just that. I think that means we're both dorks. But technically correct is the best kind of correct!
Squash399 i think he meant to say down force not centrifugal. I guess physics is not for everyone
