    Great job without me Justin and JP. Wish I was able to join because there were several spots I would have liked to add my two cents. The one I really want to address though is your agreement on Tank Dell being a sell. Stroud advocated for the Texans to draft Dell. He recently put together is dream offense of current players and had Davante and Chase outside with Dell in the slot. Before getting hurt last year he was averaging 16.5 ppg. The only rookie WR’s to score more than that in the last 20 years are: Chase, OBJ, JJ, Evans, Michael Thomas, and Puka. At the time of his injury, he was 13th in ppr ppg. Only 0.3 ppg behind Puka and 0.5 ppg ahead of Nico Collins. As for the injury? All indications are that he is looking healthy. Due to his injury, the Diggs trade, and the Nico extension, I think he is currently priced at a little bit of a discount. I think he has a very realistic chance to be the leading scorer in that wide receiver room and Stroud’s top target for the next several years. This makes him a buy in my eyes.

      Tank Dell is a hard one for me personally. I acknowledge often he and Achane are hard for me to value commensurately to their production. The other issue I have with Dell aside from him coming off injury is his age. You certainly could be correct thought. Those two are a valuation blindspot for me I acknowledge and am okay with because I cannot seem to shake it.

    • @davidpalcsak1024
      @davidpalcsak1024 2 месяца назад +1

      @@justingoleff I understand that. I can relate to player blind spots. It’s something I’ve been trying to work on, but I think we will always have that happen every now and then. As for his age, he was definitely an older prospect, but that only worries me until we see them ball in the NFL.

      Always love to hear the perspective on the other side too! A big part of the reasoning for me is I love Nico’s skill set as a near elite route runner, and YAC guy, with a huge advantage with size. The age and size definitely worry me for Tank Dell but the production last year is undeniable certainly

    Hey bros, quick question thats been on my mind lately:
    How do you handle buying/selling wide receivers who are recovering from big injuries?

    • @Dynoconff
      @Dynoconff  2 месяца назад +4

      It definitely depends on the age of the WRs. If you can get a big injury discount on a young stud like Jefferson or Chase it is something we will always jump on. However, other WRs coming off injuries like Mike Williams are not really appealing because they are older, going to new locations, etc. WRs usually have the most value insulation, and injurred WRs are great targets on rebuilding teams, especially if you can get at a discount. We like to pivot to a player in the same tier and see if we can get a 2nd as proffit when a player goes down. Ideally you gain the 2nd in value and the player bounces back. Be wary of ACL injuries as they are difficult to bounce back and the dynasty market seems to be becoming even more reactionary with each passing year!

    • @Patch-F
      @Patch-F 2 месяца назад +4

      @Dynoconff yeahhh, okay makes a lot of sense when you put it like that! But yeah, the market is crazy. Glad I have a place to come get advice and collect my thoughts 😎👍🏻

    Hey I have a question…how does the depth of the WR position in your dynasty league impact your buy/sell decisions? Maybe I’m overthinking, but I might as well just ask 😂

    • @Dynoconff
      @Dynoconff  2 месяца назад +3

      It does quite a bit. Because of the fact that there are so many WRs we can lump into that tier 7 especially from our last video, we are usually able to find enough to fill out our flexes. This leads us to really want to make sure we get elite ones since the depth is so comparable otherwise. The difference between tier 5 and tier 7 is not usually so predictable, and we admit we will be wrong on player takes. We want to be correct on process, so often we want to collect assets and liquidate players for draft picks so we can buy in season when we know who is actually exceeding expectations!

    Also I have a question. Are there any rookie wide receivers from this year’s draft class that you’re targeting as must-buys? I need to make sure I win this year 😅

    • @Dynoconff
      @Dynoconff  2 месяца назад +1

      Justin is very high on Xavier Worthy but admits he might have a little learning curve given the complexity of the chiefs offense. Ladd at price is an interesting win now upside play, but rookies usually do better second half of season!

  • @GariusD20
    @GariusD20 2 месяца назад +3

    Listen...what's your advice for negotiating trades involving wide receivers? My brother is such a stingy player 😒

    • @Dynoconff
      @Dynoconff  2 месяца назад

      It definitely varies by tier of WR. For the elite guys, we only want to pay up for them if we have enough assets to do so. Don't trade to much for CeeDee Lamb if it leaves so many wholes you wont be able to compete for years. Know your formats needs. With WRs outside of this tier, we try to go with the guys that are undervalued by our leaguemates. The only way to find out is to start trade talks. You never know who someone values way lower than you do til you start talking. So explore all options, and don't be upset if you have to go with someone you have a little lower, but in the same tier as the guy you want if you get a better deal!

    Good video
    A few of my buys - Diontae Johnson - still young and feels like he could get a big target share, I’ll take any of the 30 year old plus dudes if they are cheap - Hopkins, Cooper, Davante, etc, also randomly buying Chris Godwin, my more expensive buys are Aiyuk/Higgins - feel like the contracts make owners a bit worried and they feel cheaper then they should be
    Sell- Tank Dell, all rookie WRs outside MJH-Nabers - I agree with your Rome sell idea …only with the idea I can maybe buy him cheaper next year because he won’t go crazy due to target comp…I’m selling the rookies unless you’re stud tier because it feels like if any of them have a year like Jayden Reed or Flowers or Addison - they’ll make your video next year as a sell because they aren’t studs and we will like next year’s crop. Best case scenario is Ladd has a year like Jayden Reed - but LAC brings in more comp and Ladd with that year may struggle to get you a 2025 late 1 next offseason due to the quantity of “Wr2-3” kinda guys in every nfl draft

      Great analysis!
      With the old guys but the cheapest ones in each individual league and you'll have great success!
      JP is also a big Aiyuk guy!

    I went QB/RB with the first two picks of my dynasty draft with Williams and Benson, but that means I didn't get any WRs until late. I ended up with Roman Wilson and Javon Baker... are either of those plausible fantasy starters?

    • @jpbennett11
      @jpbennett11 2 месяца назад

      Based on draft capital and rookie draft ADP, Roman Wilson and Javon Baker are more likely to bust than to hit. BUT same can be said about any the other players that go around Roman and Baker. Both are worthy dart throws!
      Javon Baker is a sleeper we all liked, and believe is talented. He lands in a room where he has a chance to work his way into being a starter, but 4th round draft capital wasn’t great to see. I believe he has upside with Drake Maye.
      Roman Wilson is a player we were more skeptical on, but he lands in a WIDE OPEN WR room. The Steelers probably won’t pass a ton, but he might establish himself as their WR2.

    • @Dynoconff
      @Dynoconff  2 месяца назад

      There is definitely a world where one or both of these guys pan out. JP is low on Wilson, but he has opportunity in Pittsburgh for sure. Baker is in a very murky room where he could grow into a the 1 over time. It is the type of situation where we would expect nothing and be happy if we get something from them. They were likely 3rd round picks for you so decent upside shots, but not something to expect a lot out of!
