Love the riding around videos! Can't wait to see where you're taking us next. It's obvious you are enjoying life in Ecuador a lot more now that you got your wheels. 👍😎
Don, I enjoy these ride-along videos. I feel as if I'm in the car with you as you drive us through different neighborhoods and offer commentary about them.
Nice video Don. Montecristi looks beautiful! I don't know how you handle the traffic there. I'm used to San Francisco ( California ) traffic and even I don't know if I could handle driving down there, especially with those crazy pedestrians! I also can't believe how nice the streets are kept there as opposed to the streets where I live!
Montecristi itself is a very old, poor looking community, and then there is the golf resort. The infrastructure of the city is just like all the other coastal cities.
Excellent video Don. I like driving and walking videos. I’ve always used my iPhone to record from the car. It has a lot of functionality and really good quality. Just a thought… Have a good day Don.
Thanks again for the ride. I have no clue about your GoPro, but hope you can find a solution! Have you been to the Santa Marianita area yet? I’d love to see a video from there!
Love the road video!!!!!!! Thank you for doing them. Do some Bite Me T-Shirts with I Mean it peace love? Love Love you make me laugh. I can't wait to get down there for a 30 visit. To retire 😊😊😊😊
I have a Gopro 9 myself and know of the over heating your talking about. The only way i've have been able to stop it from over heating. Is to open a window or turn on the air conditioner. Hope this helps in some way Don.
great drive....can't believe gas is so cheap there....been going to costa rica for 13 yrs and gas is regulated by the govt and is always just a bit under $6 a gallon all those yrs....terrible
If gas is $2.40 a gallon and you got $16.40, you got a little less than 7 gallons. Google says a Soueast DX3 fuel capacity is 45 liters or 11.8877 gallons so, you have a lot of gas when the gauge says eighth of a tank. 80 KPH is 50MPH and 100 KPH is 62 MPH. If you have a motorcycle with a top speed limiter, you know 300 KPH is 186MPH.
I heard Insta360 is a pretty good camera. When editing We can see what’s in front of, switch it to you in the car and then what’s on the side of you. I’m going to pick one up next month. I’ll update you to see how it works.
Nicely done, Don! I did not visit Montecristi but those houses you showed by the golf course look very nice and spacious! Did you say the average price is around $80k? Wow, great price! Btw you guessed right, ceda el paso means yield and you’ll see that on roundabouts mostly
The more Driving around Videos, The More I could live there over the Philippines. The areas you drive around Are much less 3rd world & the traffic is MUCH lighter & manageable. at least the Taxi had the flashers going, you Hardly ever see flashers or signals used in the Phils.
Thanks, I'll look into it. The only reason it gets so hot is because it's sitting just inside the window and the sun hits it as well. It doesn't overheat any other time.

You mentioned the cruise ships during this video. My question is, where do they come from and what type of attractions are available for these tourists?

@@DonShader Thanks, Don. I was trying to envision my WAZE app giving directions to unnamed roads. "Go 3 kilometers and turn left at the corner with three palm trees." :) Just curious, do they use metric or imperial? I enjoyed your drives and beach walks. Thanks again.

Itchy Boots in a car! Great info too. What a nice place to live. Love it!
Everything looks so lush and green. Very nice looking homes too.
That's ONLY in the Montecristi Golf Resort. The rest of Manta and Montecristi is a concrete jungle.

Could you tell me more about the temperatures in your area? It seems end of day? What is the general weather and temperatures? Thanks.

I can handle California driving a whole lot better than anywhere here. No comparison.
"That was me practicing..." Right! You enjoyed honking at that taxi just a little too much. 🙂
Very helpful Don!
The view of Monte Cristi, and the road leading to it, all looked very nice..very green scenery and a good clean road.

I would try mine if I can get a mount for it that I can hang from the windshield or mirror.

Awesome video, Don!! Thanks for showing the Montecristi area.

Nice breakdown. 5 out of 4 times I'm good at numbers😁🤣
The inside and outside of this community are totally two different worlds.
it's not my community. This started at the Montecristi Golf Resort, probably the only place in this part of the country that looks like this.

Never, unfortunately. I'm staying away from that place along with Guayaquil.

No more than 20 minutes
Like Amelia says, maybe a little less depending on traffic.
