      Thank you! Granted after the fact I realized I probably shouldn’t have been that close to the trailer doing that 🫣

      Thanks for asking and the high praise! We shoot primarily with the Sony a7iii and edit in Adobe premiere. There are plenty of other types of software our there but it’s what we’re familiar with! :)

    Great video, our rv has dullys.4 rear wheels in the rear, (2 side by side) and 2 wheels in the front.total of 6 wheels.would we have to chock all 6 wheels?

    • @DougandEmmie
      @DougandEmmie  Год назад

      So that’s a great question, in that case there are wheel chocks that are extra wide that are similar to the rubber ones. I’ve seen them at most camping supply stores and might be a better option for the dually wheels. I also would chock all six wheels to prevent a twist. If wheels start moving and two are free, it’s possible that the trailer could twist and if it’s up on blocks under your front jack. The jack could slip off the blocks and cause some major damage to the frame. Easy and relatively inexpensive security for a potentially very damaging problem.

    Hi, I noticed your black rubber chocks are on the inside of the two wheels. Is that the proper placement?

    • @DougandEmmie
      @DougandEmmie  Год назад

      A year late, but this is our method to the madness. When placing these chocks on the inside we figured that even if the trailer was to slip and twist sideways the fact that the chocks are closer together would decrease the chance that if one chock failed for some reason the other one would back it up. Depending on the grade we may prioritize things differently.

    Does the flat or ridged side of the rubber chocks go on the ground?

    • @DougandEmmie
      @DougandEmmie  Год назад

      Better late than never! If we’re on more rugged terrain or gravel we place the ridged side down, if we’re on pavement or concrete slab we place the flat side down. Either seems to work great in any situation but it definitely feels better.

    Where's the olde fashion fire wood chock?

      Hahah I’ve been there plenty of times and that should definitely be in there. Especially entertaining if I actually had it on fire 🤣

      Valid point! Shortly after this video released we had a series of deaths in the family including Emmie’s father and we stopped all our social media. Never back tracked. We have been dabbling again and you might be right! Maybe time to tackle the backlog.
