  • Hey all, in this video I review the Maxchock Stabilizer Wheel Chock package (link below) that contains 2 x styled chocks perfect for keeping that front to back motion under control when you have your tandem axle trailer parked and ready to camp. Maxchock graciously sent me a 2 pack of these to test out and review on our 5th wheel and I am loving them so far. Do you all own a pair of these? If so, let me know in the comments how you like them!

That's why they come in pairs lol to stabilize the whole unit and rubber chocks front to back movement 😂

Yes for the first set it’s fast for setting , but for the XShock you could used a battery operated rachetalsothat would speed up the process same with the drill 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Got the MaxChock yesterday for this weekend's trip, going to keep the torque setting on the drill low to start.

I use a drill on my X Chocks and with the room you have it looks like you could also.

Nice, I think with a proper drill attachment I probably could too but that fender is a bit in the way for me. Not sure if the X-chocks are meant to do that, but I use a drill on my rear stabilizers and it specifically says not to do it there...sooo, it is what it is lol. Thanks for watching - Shane

Really great review! So much faster being able to use a drill to install this.

On first use, one of my max chocks stripped easily with the supplied 1/4 bit. I barely snugged the other side to keep from stripping it. From what information I’ve found, these have no warranty at all past the return period. Hopefully, I’m not out on these but I certainly wouldn’t recommend them.

When you took the X-Chock, you loosened it purposefully extra. The Max-Chock seems fairly decent, but whatever is in the gearbox could have issues later. More pieces=more problems.

Yes sir, I loosened both of them on purpose to show the difference in attaching them. May have gotten the X-Chock slightly more loosened than the Maxchock, I wasn't really doing a timed test. Yea, we will see how it holds up over time. I do generally like the keep it simple principle most of the time. Thanks for watching - Shane
