Great tips Ian, especially 6 & 7. With regards to exporting from lightroom in high res - what do you export as in the settings? do you export as jpeg? Is this what you use for printing in the future if needed. Every time I watch your videos from the office I am impressed with the set up tidiness of the work area. Any plans for an office tour as I am looking for ideas for my newly taken over spare room? thanks Guy
Great content as usual. Now that I’m retired I moved from my D7000 and RAW then editing. I don’t like the editing process because I have less confidence doing that than setting up the shot 🤓. Recently I purchased Fujifilm X-T5 and the new kit 16-50mm lens and love the SOOC culture with JPEG and film sims. Having a ball shooting and very little editing (I do shoot JPEG + RAW just in case, admittedly).
Just started to watch this video and am looking forward to it. I thought I'd comment before moving on because editing cam be a really frustrating process. I was a satisfied C1 Express user as an amateur until they pulled it out from under us. My family bought Capture One for my birthday and now I'm trying to learn to use it. Sooooo....here we go!! Thanks for sharing your editing tips!! Have a great day!
Great video and advice as always Ian. One area that always frustrates me is when people fail to adjust horizons correctly. Can really spoil an otherwise fantastic shot!
Definetly agree with these tips, especially colour, ive been back to an image and thought "what have I done" haha. Ive also stood on that precarious rock in Torridon Ian and shot that waterfall infront of Beinn Align not for the faint hearted so well done for that
I have been getting into photography recently and I’ve really just loved all your content! I have been binge watching all of your videos because I feel like you explain things very clearly😁

Hi, Ian. Is the editing session you mentioned in this video only to do with Lightroom?
Nice tips, thanks for sharing. One of the best is no7, don't rush the editing, take a bit of time and more than one view/attempt to finish a picture.

Great tips. Over raising shadows is definitely one I am guilty of. Another annoying habit is to re edit a pic every time I look at it.
Yep, I do that as well haha 👍

Some good stuff in this that I instantly recognised (shadows etc). But sometimes getting it “wrong” leads to pleasing results. Thanks for the tips

Sorry I wasn't specific, you suggested using a wider aperture than crop in when processing to improve depth of field. Thanks again for the tip
