  • Happy Wednesday everyone!
I hope your week is going well so far. One thing I want to share with you today that I'm kinda crazy about jumpsuit. I love to wear them for any occasions. And today video, I'm going to share with you the way I made one of them.
This is an overall jumpsuit that pretty easy to make by yourself, no need to be a professional sewer. I tried to make my video as much detail as I can. So you can easy to follow and actually do it on your own.
The measurement I did in my video for my body size (82-66-92 or small size). But I also share with you the way you can measure on your body as well. I hope it'll work to you. Because it's the way to use for me.
This OVERALL JUMPSUIT is suitable for a gardening day or even for a hanging out day. It's supper comfortable and so cute, isn't it?
I hope you enjoy this video. Give me your comment about this DIY. So I can learn more from you and try to create for the next videos. Like & share if you love it. And please SUBSCRIBE to my channel to see my other Jumpsuit videos and not miss any upcoming one.

I first saw this video and i was a bit skeptical about making this without a pattern or a printable guide of any kind, but i went ahead and attempted it. The pair i made are now my favourite pair of dungarees! Such a well explained tutorial as well :)

I think explaining the measurements by showing you measuring yourself (bust to ankle) and then transferring it onto the fabric are very useful! However, could you also add that purpose of each measurement to the text on the screen as well? For example, instead of "130cm", the text could say "130cm (bust to ankle)" and it would be more clear. Thank you!

I disagree with you (not because it's fun to disagree with people). It's really useful to see how to make your own measurements when you're alone or that nobody can help you. Plus English isn't my first language and having a visual help like that really help me to understand better the video and I think I'm not the only one to be a non-english speaker to watch her video. I understand your point of view it's a great point of view and I'm not angry or something (I don't want, if you answer back, that you thought I look at you down or something it's not the case !)

Great instructions! I just made this and for anyone interested in making it who doesn’t have a serger to protect the linen from fraying, I did it with French seams and it worked perfectly :) just be careful not to take up too much seam allowance, or add extra to the pattern to be sure it fits. Anywhere I couldn’t do French seams I did double folds or a zigzag stitch to keep it from fraying too much

love this tutorial! I am excited to have discovered your channel :) One thing that is helpful is when you say what materials you are using. For example, you would say "For this tutorial, I am using 2 yards of linen, cotton thread, chalk, a measuring tape, scissors, a serger, and standard sewing machine." the yardage and thread type are especially important! Also many people don't have sergers so letting them know they can reduce fraying with pinking shears or a french seam is also helpful! Your videos are so good and easy to follow. And you are so cute! Can't wait to watch more!

Maybe sometime I can try and figure out how to make it fit me, as I'm very tall, I'll need to watch several times and maybe make one out of an old sheet first to test it. Love it!!!
ps. you asked for helpful input, can I suggest when you say "centimeter" you just need to add the sound at the end "cen-ti-mee-ter". Not a criticism at all but just trying to be helpful, I have friends who's native language is not English and they like to learn the pronunciation. I can't wait to see more of you videos!

I'm excited about this one. It's slightly more complicated but not bad. I've gotten comfortable drafting and sewing dresses thanks to your videos but have never made any pants. I'm going to make it a tiny bit easier by starting w pants I have and then adjusting according to your instructions. I def have to make a muslin first on this one, as I've never made any kind of shorts, pants, etc, but I'm so excited about trying it! I got some linen curtains at the thrift store that will be perfect. Thanks as always, you are so talented! Thanks to your videos I see how drafting isn't nearly as hard as it seems. All I see when i look at clothes now is the shapes lol

A TIP: if you have large hips like I do, don't add 10 cm to que quarteto size of your hip. It will be huge and you're going to look like a umpaloompa. Trust me

I was just wondering about this myself lmao thanks for the tip! I realize this was a long time ago but do you know what you did instead? Did you just use the quarter of your hip as is or did you add a little less than 10cm?

I have big hips and tried to reduce it to 8 cm.... bad idea. WAAAyyy too tight! So I dunno

@@solelymusicable i also reduced it to like 6 cm and it also almost didn´t fit lmao but i made a second one and now everything´s fine, thanks for answering tho! :)

Did you add 10 cm to your hip measurement and then divided it by 4 or did you add 10 cm to the divided measurement??

@@majkacincarova2592 first option, if you add 10 four times it's gonna be huge

Great tutorial. I will be giving it a try soon. I think I will do a lot more top stitching on mine to make it a bit sturdier but this is a great starting point.
