Glad I found this resource. Very helpful considering classes are all done online right now with the pandemic. I am taking my test in about a month and this will help a bunch. Can’t recommend this enough. Thank you
No, the study guide does not contain videos. It has approximately 160 pages and also includes 150 practice test questions. You can read all about it at www.mometrix.com/studyguides/personaltrainer.

Excessive intake of fats doesn’t lead to weight gain. Excessive intake of overall macronutrients for your body weight and bmi is more accurate. There’s plenty of studies that show people who are on a ketogenic diet in which 70% of their calories come from fat are incredibly lean. Additionally, the belief that saturated fats and red meat being bad for you was based on epidemiological studies which are inherently flawed. Correlation does not equal causation. People who eat more red meat and saturated fats are also people who engage in more risky behaviors overall such as smoking, drinking, etc which are very likely the true culprits for people who also eat red meat to die sooner.
glad I'm not the only one triggered by the fat "facts" lol. whenever I want to cut below 12% bodyfat I go on a ketogenic diet. Usually mostly steak and eggs. don't even need to count calories. Fat just melts off. But yea ppl think red meat, saturated fat, cholesterol is all bad for you. There hasn't been a single controlled study that links any of those to any metabolic diseases while also providing proof of causation. It's sad that many ppl are dying and seek medical and dietary advice only to be told shit that will cause further harm. "oh you have diabetes? looks like you should go on a high carb diet! Meanwhile, buy all this insulin to inject regularly. Don't worry about what insulin does in the body! You NEED it, even if it is EXPENSIVE." My mom is currently being murdered slowly by doctors while they make a fortune off her. Hope she listens to me one day....
