Another wonderful visit Olivia. Love all the things. The quilt you will be starting is sooooo pretty and glad you will be using the perfect fabric that makes your heart sing. Please don’t put so much pressure on yourself for the sake of your video. Stitch and sew what you want. Those that have been with you from the beginning want nothing less for you ❤️❤️❤️.
Hi Olivia, your vacation photos are beautiful! Every time you share Autumn at Hawk Run, I am so so tempted, it is so pretty. Thanks for the mention and your flag finial worked out perfectly. Always an inspiration!
Great video as always Olivia. Your hair looks pretty curled. Your American Farmhouse piece I love. So close on finishing Hawk Run Hollow and it is beautiful. Your Temecula quilt is gorgeous. I cannot wait to see your stars quilt all finished. I think you take your photo pictures and you capture the shots just perfect. The flowers you captured from your vacation were stunning and vibrant. Thank you.
The Rhode Island State tree is the red maple which was decided on by school children back in the 1800’s. It really is a beautiful tree. I can’t wait to see your Hawk Run Hollow piece finished, it is a lovely piece. I think 3 or 4 would be a welcome addition to my collection of patterns.
Washington's state tree is the Western Hemlock 1, 2, 3, 5 . I haven't been to Victoria for 30 years, so I guess the next time I go there I will shocked by the changes like you were. Your pictures were beautiful. American Farmhouse is so pretty. I loved your "giddy" expression when you spoke about Autumn at Hawk Run Hollow stitch. We are all cheering you on for a finish. Have a great 2 weeks.
Beautiful gardens, thank you for mentioning your rotation because to be honest I didn’t understand what everyone was talking about until you said you were stitching a piece every 5 or 6 days. Glad you’re feeling better. 🤗✂️🪡🧵
Virginia state tree is The Flowering Dogwood. The one thing I really hated leaving behind in 2019…Dogwood tree with pretty pink flowers. One year Cardinals started a family in that tree. So, I had the state flower, state tree and state bird in my front yard! Thank you for sharing your work and ideas. Always look forward to your floss tube. 😊

Your dog is such a cutie. Sorry you got sick on your vacation. Sounds like you made the best of it. Great stitching and quilts. I love the scrappy stars especially.🍁🍁🍁
The pecan (pah-con) tree is the Texas state tree. I can already hear some of you saying peeecan…… potato / patato 🤣 3 I’m glad you had a great vacation. Love all the projects, and the finishes. When I first started (100 years ago) I didn’t read directions for my life! Lots of lessons learned!! Also, I stitched one over one and two over two and and one over two, but didn’t realize that’s what I was doing. If I wanted an ornament to fix into something and all I had was 25 count that I bought in hobby lobby, I would load a single thread and stitch the smallest square… one over one. I just didn’t know that was a thing, and didn’t learn that until after I’d been stitching for 20 years. 🤣 Hope you have a good couple weeks! Happy stitching!!
Looks like you had a wonderful vaca. Sorry you had to be under the weather. Bummer. Our daughter has been to the gardens and raved about them. Always so enjoy your videos. For not getting much done, you still had a lot to share. Take care and see you in two weeks!!

Olivia, We just came back from an Alaskan cruise and our last stop was Victoria. We stopped at the Butchart Gardens and I wish that we had more time. We spent a quick 1/2 hour touring the city on the bus before we had to head back to the ship. It is a beautiful city! I was so inspired by all the color and natural beauty around me. Sometimes you just need the downtime to recharge🙂
I so love watching your videos, you do wonderful stitching and quilting and you are a very sweet and humble person! The halloween clock is so pretty, dont be ashamed, be proud! ❤️ Little mistakes happen to everybody!
Learnt something from the question, lol. Nova Scotia has a provincial tree and it's the Red Spruce. I also want to thank you for the chart I won, I received it this past week. Glad you had a great vacation. I lived in Victoria back in the late 80s and my middle son was born there in 91. 1,2,5. Hope you have a great few weeks!
Your American Frarmhouse turned out wonderful, I can't wait to see it framed. I would finish that Halloween piece and never look back on what I didn't know or do at the time I stitched it, it is adorable. Freddie was so sweet today, he really missed you when you went on vacation! Your photos were like picture postcards to us from your wonderful and well deserved vacation. Arizona's tree is the Palo Verde since 1954. Palo verde is spanish for green stick, and the lime green trunk and branchs produce photosynthesis as well as the leaves. In the springtime it is covered in golden yellow flowers, I have 2 in my backyard and they are beautiflu lacy trees. 1,2,3,4 Sending you and yours many hugs from sunny Arizona.
Pennsylvania's State Tree is the Eastern Hemlock. #3, #4. Thank you for sharing your vacation photos. 😊 As always, another inspiring video. Have a great 2 weeks!
Oh Olivia, you have made another fine video! You are such a bright spot in my life, I hope you never stop doing them!! I am so glad you were able to take a vacation, too!! I would be interested in, #5 Up on a Rooftop and our Virginia state tree is the flowering dogwood. Have a good two weeks and look forward to the next one!!!
I enjoyed our visit as always. Love Freddie ,so cute. My state has two official trees, Moved here to Nevada four years ago. First the Singleleaf Pinyon and in 1987 they added the Bristlecone pine., who knew? I am interested in #3 and #4, Thanks Olivia.
Olivia, I enjoy your flosstube so much. Your pictures of Butchart Garden are awesome! What a wonderful trip. 1,2,3,4,5 The state tree for Oklahoma is the Eastern Redbud. Love seeing them bloom in the spring.
I live just outside Philadelphia and had no idea what our state tree was. I know now! It’s the Eastern Hemlock. I also now know that the most common tree in our state is the Red Maple. As a stitcher and a quilter I Love your work and your videos. Keep em coming!! 3, 5
If you saw my craft room, you would know I would never think you didn’t need another quilt! LOL one can never have enough quilts! 🤪 The state tree of Missouri is the flowering dogwood. ❤️ 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Kansas tree is the Cottonwood tree. #4 is amazing and congrats to all previous winners. On Block bonanza I am trying to get fabric together now I kick myself in but because I had the block of month and let it go. so now feel like I am paying triple for it. So Listen to her advice. What a wonderful vacation. love the photo's. hope you are feeling better.
The Minnesota State Tree is the Red Pine also known as the Norway Pine. Love your American Farmhouse finish and you are so close to a finish on your Autumn at Hawk Run. Hollow. Scrappy Stars is wonderful, it’s nice have a goal of getting a row completed to show during your floss tube video. You are very close to a wonderful finish on that project as well! 1,2,3,4,5
Our state tree is the California Redwood. I’m glad you finished American Farmhouse, it’s a beautiful piece. Your scrappy stars is so very pretty. 1, 3, 4, 5.
I love your American Farmhouse finish and can't wait to see it completely framed next time. I am from MN and our state tree is the Red Pine. I learned something new about my state. 1,3,5.
I thought I knew my state tree, but thought I would look it up to make sure and I was wrong. I thought it was a Sequoia tree but it is the California Redwood. When I saw that I thought of the song, "This Land is My Land", you know, "from the Redwood Forest, to the Gulf Stream water". Hahaha! 😅 This is fun. I am enjoying these types of questions. I enjoy both your cross stitch and your quilting as I do both as time allows. Have a wonderful week.
I do enjoy your flosstubes so much. And I absolutely love your baby. When we have to board our dogs, my little chihuahua is the same. He will not let me out of his sight and whines if I’m out of it. Your quilt is beautiful. It makes me want to make one just like it. Living in Texas, our state tree is the Pecan tree. 3 4
Hi Olivia I’m so sorry you got sick with allergies on your vacation that’s such a bummer but I really enjoyed the pictures thank you! I’m in Arizona the official state tree is the Palo Verde which is Spanish for green stick. I am super sentimental about this tree as we used to tie our hoses under the one on our horse property when I was a teenager. I miss those days! Anyways it blooms in the spring with beautiful yellow gold flowers that carpet the ground just gorgeous. 3, 4, 5 thanks so much!
If we get a vote, I say put the pumpkins in on hawk run. Congratulations on the finish. It is absolutely beautiful. Hi Freddy glad you stopped by. ( he is soooo cute). New Mexico’s state tree in the piñon pine. It smells great when you burn it. 2 3 4 5.
Love your choice of stitching and quilt patterns. Your advice of 1 thread for 18 count fabric is going to be a game changer. The state tree of Ohio is the Buckeye!
These questions are so fun! I didn’t answer last week- but my home state of Rhode Island’s state bird is the Rhode Island Red hen. So of course when I got chickens a few years ago I got several(Rose and Ruby) for my flock. My state tree is the American elm. Last week I took a long arm quilting class which has given me a greater appreciation for your finished quilts. I love seeing all your projects. Especially scrappy stars. So pretty! 1. 2. 3. 4
I like the way you do your stitching and quilting. Love the star quilt. 3 4 Flowering dogwood is Missouri state tree. This is did know, which is surprising for an old lady like me. Thank you for doing the videos.
Texas state tree is the pecan tree! Thanks again for a wonderful video! Your vacation pictures are beautiful! 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Not that I ever win anything! 😂
The Missouri state tree is the Flowering Dogwood. I had no idea and I planted one in honor of my mom when we first moved here. I loved seeing the pictures of your trip. I love touring gardens when I'm on vacation. Your pictures make me want to head up there and check them out. 3, 4, 5
Gorgeous pictures as always, Olivia! So sorry that your allergies made it difficult to enjoy your trip. My nose started itching when you were describing all of the pollen. Lol West Virginia's state tree is the Sugar Maple and there is a small maple syrup industry in our state. I am in ❤with your Scrappy Stars quilt. It is going to turn out fantastic! 3
The Western Red Cedar is the tree of BC! I had to look that one up; didn't know we had an "official" tree of the province. Beautiful stitching as always. 3, 4, 5.
My State Tree is the Sugar Maple. 1,2,3,4,5 your stitching is amazing and I love Hawk Run Hallow. My daughter lives in South Carolina and I just had to look up their tree. It is the Sabal Palm. Loved your question. Great video, thank you.
Alabama’s state tree is the southern long leaf pine. I didn’t grow up in Alabama so I had to look up every answer about Alabama!! Thank you for your video!
Always a pleasure to see you Olivia!!! I am so excited for you for Halloween at Hawk Run Hollow - cheering you on for a mid-October finish!!! Love your star quilt!! The provincial tree for Ontario, Canada is the eastern white pine and the national tree for Canada is the maple tree. Thanks as always and happy stitching!
congratulations to those lucky chosen. I am in California and our state tree is the California Redwood, which is such a massive tree. I love them and since I live in Northern California outside of San Francisco, it is easy to go see those majestic beauties. 1 2 3 4 5
I had to look it up. Indiana's state tree is the Tulip Tree. 1 2 3 4 5. I am enjoying all of your projects and progress. I am a slow stitcher anyway but I recently had another surgery on my eye which always stops stitching for a while. I am back to stitching but for short periods of time due to eye strain. Freddie is adorable!
I absolutely love Victoria, BC! Your photos brought back so many memories of our past visits. The Texas state tree is the pecan tree, which is why (almost) everyone in Texas loves pecan pie. 😉 3, 4 Happy stitching! 🧵🪡
Hi Olivia! Your trip looked and sounds fantastic! Glad you were able to get away and muscle through the nasty allergies! Ugh. Your Hawkrun Hollow is gorgeous! Almost finished! State tree for Ohio. Is the Ohio Buckeye tree Quilts are beautiful! Would love 3. Have a great stitchy quilty couple of weeks!
Enjoyed your video. The vacation pictures are beautiful. I have the same issues with allergies and know exactly how you feel. I liked your story about the clock, sounds like something I would do too! I am not a quilter, but love them! I do enjoy seeing the process. Yours are beautiful. The Illinois state tree is the white oak. All of the original woodwork in my 120 year old home is white oak. Your dog is so sweet. 3
Queensland doesn't have a state tree but the Australian tree emblem is the stunning , but deadly to allergy sufferers, Golden Wattle. Beautiful tree with grey/green small leaves and bright pom pom like bright yellow flowers that attract lots of bees and nectar- eating birds. As I said flowering season is hell for people with allergies, many states put out allergy warnings. Where I live, Toowoomba, every September is the Carnival of Flowers with a massive garden competition . Each of the city parks has it's own team of gardeners who have a 'friendly ' comp of their own to produce the magnificent gardens the city is renowned around the world for. If you ever come to Australia plan to visit around September and come to the Carnival. Sure you'd enjoy it. 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5
The cottonwood tree is the state of Kansas state tree. I really enjoyed your pictures of all the flowers in Victoria. It's been 30 years since I have been there, it brought back such good memories for me. I would like 3
The Kentucky state tree is the tulip poplar. Beautiful vacation pics! Love the stars quilt. Hawk run is so close. I have a number of quilts needing finishing, but one at a time. 3, 4.
Olivia, I LOVED your opening!!! Such stunning gardens!! This video was very uplifting on this Saturday morning. Thank you for it. Also, I agree with you about not posting vacation time away. Very serious! I love seeing all of your work, both stitching and quilting. Thank you so much!
Our state tree is the blue palo verde. I'm so glad to hear that you are playing it safe. I worry about these presenters on floss tube who tell everyone when they will be gone to include their full agenda with the times and dates the pet sitters will be at their homes. It always sounds like an invitation for trouble. 1 2 3 4 5
The kansas state tree is a cottonwood. Every spring they release their floors and they fly everywhere. It literally looks like it's snowing. Allergies around that time are terrible as you could imagine lol. 1,2,3,4,5
California's state tree is the giant redwood also known as sequoia. My little city in southern California has a stand of redwoods in a county park that we can hike to, but they are much smaller and take a lot of watering and care to keep alive. It is definitely not the climate for them down here. 2, 3, 5
Glad that you were able to get away, darn allergies! The state tree of WI is the sugar maple. Love the color of them in the fall, we have several in our yard along with other types of maple trees. Always anxious to see your quilting as I am a civil war fabric lover as well. I also love scrap quilts with lots of little pieces. 3,4,
Our state tree is the Norway pine. I had to look it up. Everyone knows the flower and bird. 1,2,3,4 and 5. Happy you had a nice vacation with your family. I suffer from allergies in the fall also and know how miserable they can be.
I LOVE that scrappy stars quilt. I have never made a quilt with reproduction fabrics, but you have inspired me to get out of my box. I also was thinking about getting that Adamstown FQ bundle. The NC state tree is the Dogwood...I love the pink ones. 2 0r 3 would be such a treat!!
Thanks so much for sharing your photos of all the beautiful flower gardens in Victoria, I always wanted to go there. I too splurged and bought the Adamstown fabric, it's worth it! Thanks for all of your inspiration!
Olivia great video! You aren't by yourself learning on your own! You could look for another clock to finish your piece. It would look fabulous. Have a great 2 weeks! Thank you.
Our Province of British Columbia is the Pacific Dogwood. Love it! and Love your show Olivia 3 4 5 Glad you enjoyed Victoria. It's 2 hrs away and my son also lives there. It's a beautiful City with lots to look at!
Below is information on the Maryland state tree, the Wye Oak. I was privileged to see it before it came down in a storm. Your vacation pictures were beautiful and I would like to visit that far north one day. 3 and 4 The Wye Oak, Maryland's State Tree and the largest White Oak in the United States, toppled June 6, 2002 during a thunderstorm in the village of Wye in Talbot County on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Believed to be more than 460 years old, the beloved tree was purchased by the State of Maryland in 1939 and was declared Maryland's State Tree in 1941. The tree measured 31 feet 8 inches in circumference, 96 feet tall, crown spread of 119 feet - covering nearly one-third acre.
Nebraska's state tree is the Eastern Cottonwood. They turn a beautiful yellow color in the fall here, # 3, # 4. Your American Farmhouse turned out so good--I'm sure glad you didn't give up on it. And I love that Scrappy Stars Quilt! I have just pieced my very first small quilt (at age 70!) thanks in part to your inspiration. It's a Norma Whaley design called Autumn and has a few long cabin blocks and half square triangles, combined with a lot of wool applique. I have a lot to learn, but am sure enjoying it! Hope you have a productive and lovely next two weeks.
Thank you for sharing your vacation, your stitching, and your quilting. It is fun to hear info about states. I’m in California and our state tree is the California redwood. 1,2,3,4,5
I live in Arizona and our state tree is the paleo verde. It has beautiful green bark. I had to look it up as I was thinking it might be the saguaro. I would love to stitch number 3. Gosh if that’s the worst mistake you ever made cross stitching (the Halloween clock), I think you’re doing great! Love the way the scrappy star quilt is coming along. You have such a wonderful gift for color.
Don’t know if you were right about Oregon’s tree, but I know I was wrong. I thought it was the Western Dogwood, but no, it is the Douglas Fir. Yes, that makes more sense. Anyway, enjoyed the video and appreciate the time you have committed to us every 2 weeks. I’d love to have #3 or #4.
First I just want you to know that I thoroughly enjoy watching all your videos 🤓 I also want to say that you really do amazing works with all your stitching quilting and even framing your own projects. I want to learn how to frame and do project bags. So thank you for always sharing your enjoyment of quilting and stitching. I don’t want to enter the give away. But you really got me interested in knowing my states flower birds and trees. So I’m sharing lol. I’m from Central NY. Our flower is the rose 🌹 our bird is the Eastern Bluebird and our tree is the sugar maple. Do I thought these were fun to look up and know 🤗 thank you for that!!! 🥰
I'm Praying that we can have our family 'Farm House Christmas' this year with some of our 'Texas Pecans' from our 'Pecan Trees' in my Christmas Pecan Tassies!!!! Always Enjoy Visiting & seeing what you have worked on. Thank You for Sharing!!! Sincerely, Sharol Aid
White Oak is the tree of Illinois. Good job on getting done on "Mocking Basket" pieces! The lure of starting something new before finishing other projects is so difficult for me! I am trying... So kudos to you! # 1 , 3,. 5
I live in Washington state and the state tree is the western hemlock. I enjoyed your pictures of Victoria- it’s been a long time since I’ve visited but it is such a pretty city. 3 Loved the puppy kisses from Freddy - what a cutie!
Our New York State tree is SUGAR MAPLE. I enjoy your videos and your puppy. I have a 11month old bichonpoodle mix. She is full of a lot of energy She will stand up when she wants to see something. I would enjoy winning no. 3 most of all the Liberty Welcome! But 1’ and 2 are great also. Thank you
Olivia, the 4th block for the Block Bonanza you showed has a corner half square triangle turned the wrong direction. Ohio has the Ohio Buckeye Tree! 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Your vacation photos are beautiful thanks for sharing them. Our state tree of California is the Redwood tree. I would like 2,3,4 or 5! How generous of you! Thank you
3, 4. You might think in Arizona it would be the cactus but no. It's the Blue Palo Verde. A beautiful tree that lends a bit of shade and bright yellow flowers to the scenery. Been stitching or sorting floss every day for a week or so now. Progress on my Dr. Who is slow. And when I'm done with it, I have to make another.
Your vacation pictures were stunning. You did a lot of work on your projects in a short amount of time. Freddy is adorable. He sure loves his Momma.
Hi Olivia, your vacation photos are beautiful! Every time you share Autumn at Hawk Run, I am so so tempted, it is so pretty. Thanks for the mention and your flag finial worked out perfectly. Always an inspiration!

So pretty! 1. 2. 3. 4

I loved seeing the pictures of your trip. I love touring gardens when I'm on vacation. Your pictures make me want to head up there and check them out.

Enjoyed your video. The vacation pictures are beautiful. I have the same issues with allergies and know exactly how you feel. I liked your story about the clock, sounds like something I would do too! Our prairie tree is the lodge pole pine. Thank you for sharing all your beautiful stitching and quilts. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

Thanks for sharing, glad you had a vacation. The pictures were beautiful. Your stutching and quilts are gorgeous.
Be blessed .

Below is information on the Maryland state tree, the Wye Oak. I was privileged to see it before it came down in a storm. Your vacation pictures were beautiful and I would like to visit that far north one day. 3 and 4
The Wye Oak, Maryland's State Tree and the largest White Oak in the United States, toppled June 6, 2002 during a thunderstorm in the village of Wye in Talbot County on Maryland's Eastern Shore.

Our tree emblems for Victoria: Mountain ash, Eucalyptus regnans and common heath the flower 1, 2, 5.
