Love the vintage magazines. I sometimes find them at thrift stores very reasonable. I think someone kept them for years and when they pass their children pass them on and I rescue them.
Oh Mary Engelbreit’s Home Companion magazines…. That brings back memories! I’m sad to say I did not keep those…. I’m a thrower-awayer. 😂😢 But boy did I love those…. And everything ME. I do have a couple ME cross stitch books. 🥰
@ Yes you’re reminding me that I have some wonderful nursery rhyme and fairy tale books that she illustrated that my middle daughter just loved! Her illustrations always make me smile!😊
I love your flip throughs of old magazines. I started stitching in the 90’s so those magazines bring back a lot of memories. Unfortunately I throw things away when “I think” I am done with things. I’m searching for The Love of Cross Stitch Leisure Arts magazine that had a young child sitting on a window sill looking out at the moon and stars. The chart was done on a dark blue Aida. I use to have that magazine. 😢 Would you or know of anyone who might have that magazine? It had to be in the 90’s. I would surely squeal with delight if I ever found her! ❤
Oh my ! That sounds like a lovely one. I’m afraid I don’t have that one nor do I know of anyone who does? Was it on the front cover? Otherwise keep searching for it on EBay or Etsy. Also keep an eye on FB Marketplace in your area…sometimes people are clearing out and will have needlework listed.
Love your vintage magazines and books. They are lovely. Love your new Valentines releases too 🙂
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed them.

That’s wonderful! I don’t make it to thrift stores as often as I like but I’ve found some wonderful things.
You did it! I had to buy Fables and Fairy tales you showed in video #39.
I found a few charts I want to stitch.
lol 😂 sorry, not sorry! I know you will enjoy it!
Enjoyed the flip throughs and and all your other shares ❤
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed them!

I loved her stuff! I still do. I even have a couple of story books she illustrated. Maybe a little artist spotlight?

@ That’s the difficult part, I don’t remember the front cover. Thank you for responding. Have a wonderful holiday.
You have a wonderful Christmas too…maybe a Christmas miracle will happen and you’ll find your magazine!
