Don't use the fire devices anymore since they they removed adb debugging want to use a device the way I want it so using a shield and onn pro very happy but still watch your videos keep up the good work doc 😊

I have a 4K firestick and don't have the update for this feature
Received this a few days ago ..have yet to access/use it ..cheers bud .
Definitely a useful feature. I haven't used my firestick since they removed adb debugging went to the ONN box and have been happy with it for the most part

I'm guessing with this feature both devices have to be connected to the same network or can it be done through Bluetooth?

Yeah, I get that but, for me I did not prefer using google search on other Android boxes. I've had my Fire Cube 3rd Gen for over a year and it really works great for me and my use cases. But, everyone is different and thankfully there are other options out there for us consumers to suit their needs. I came from a DynaLink box and it was OK but, I just didn't like Google search and the RUclips TV app was crashing constantly and lacked the Alexa voice control but, that just me. I've seen the latest ONN boxes preform really well and are NO slouches for streaming content. AND for the price you can't beat them!

It’s not been updated on my 2nd generation firestick so looks like that feature will not be available for older firestick devices
Also on the latest update i got. Silk browser doesn't show up in the managed installed applications list anymore . So cant firce stop or clear cache.
I cannot downloader the downloader app. Amazon app store said I already have it.

I updated but don't have matter casting anywhere
Will be impressive if some of the 3rd party streaming apps can be cast and that might save you installing those apps and free up some space

Mine a 2nd generation but it won't update mine is os5.2.9.5
They have hyjacked all the storage on our firesticks. Even if you remove items you gain no additional storage. They won't let me update without removing something and then you don't have enough space to put it back. 😡
check your files section in downloader and remove all in that
Also es file explorer helps to clear download files from apps that do updates thru them

Well, I have the Fire Cube 3rd gen and NONE of this is available. I'm real happy with the Fire Cube and YES, my Cube is updated to the latest version but, it runs an OLDER version 7 then the MAX sticks do. It's kinda disappointing really as the Fire Cube is MORE than capable but, will NEVER see this!
