6.5 Year Old KY Buck

The start of this quest began in 2017 when we got pictures of this buck at 3.5 years old. The following two years, he was the main target buck but the buck proved to be elusive. Finally at 6.5 years old this buck started showing a lot more daylight activity than the previous years. A cold front moved through in mid October and expectations were high for this hunt. Everything fell into place and we were able to end the quest for this KY legend.

I thought the same thing. All too often there is a big celebration, get on phone (on camera) and call all the buddies so they can come to the scene and give the guy a slow Jack before they line up with the photographer for photos

What a fantastic big body old mature buck. Taking an old mature WISE big body buck is better than taking a nice set of antlers on a younger buck. Just my opinion.

I’ve passed on many good bucks this year. My spot in Jefferson county has been crazy active I saw upwards of 20 deer October the 16th

Why wait till dark the deer has been dead for an hour I've huntedalot and killed many deer and I always go retrieve the deer in about 30 minutes
