The John Stewart clip got me bad. I had that one dog, John. She made me laugh, her fur soaked up my tears, she stayed on my lap during cancer treatments and she left us at 18 years of age just trying with all her might to stay. I miss her every day, I reach for her in the bed constantly and I will always love her. Of course, all the dogs were good again, and our dogs are the best.
We all should know this love of having this dog. I have a similiar love story through cancer. 14 years of him. 6 years without. I still heavily grieve like I just lost him.
@@kelleywyskiel3478 We're so fortunate to be able to share our lives with them. It has only been two years, and despite my objections at first, my wife convinced me to get a puppy a few weeks ago. We miss our previous dog (Lilly was her name), and our new family member (Bradley is her name) brings an immense amount of joy, exhaustion, and laughter into our lives. I would never suggest to anyone to get another dog to get over a previous dog. I would suggest that if your hearts allow it, though, and you're the type of person who loves dogs, invite one into your life.
I cried right along with Jon Stewart as he spoke about Dipper. Those of us who have been fortunate to have been loved by a dog understand that heartbreak instantly. Also, it's repugnant that some are still putting out cruel traps for coyotes. Apex predators are critical for the health of an ecosystem, and they belong as surely as anyone else. I'm glad that the beautiful dog was saved and adopted, but we humans simply must do better than to demonize the wild puppies like coyotes, wolves, and the coy-wolf hybrids who live in my area. Cruelty is indefensible, regardless of who is caught in the trap. 💜
Lola, you are extraordinary! It can take 2 years to train an Autism Assistance Dog to be able to safely contain a child inclined to elope, and you did it all by yourself. Good girl!
The best thing about my neurological damage is I can rewatch these & each time it’s like the first time I’m seeing it. Not many upsides to my memory damage but I’ll take this one ❤
Same! I worked with dog rescue for years and ended up having some wonderful family members that way. We're currently on a break while I recover from medical shenanigans, but I look forward to adding another dog to our lives afterwards.
Aww Dipper 💔 Also we had a sheep who decided she was a herd dog. And the lead herd dog at that. She hung it with the lead ranch dog, helped herd cattle, protected chickens from coyotes and retired to live into her old old age roaming and grazing alongside the herd of cattle she believed was hers to watch over.
My grandfather gave me a bummer (orphan) lamb when I was nine. He was raised by our Border Collies (who even house trained him). Went everywhere with them, even herding the cattle right along with them (he was pretty good at herding -- the dogs taught him well).
This. Every week I eagerly wait for this. No matter what may have happened during the previous days, the moment I get to see the good dogs of the week, everything is right with the world and I can face whatever comes my way. Bring it on, doggies. Bring it on.❤❤❤❤❤
I've been there, alongside Jon Stewart and so many others. Each one you lose breaks your heart, but when it's _the one,_ life is tricky for some time. I lost Maggie 30 years ago in November (the November before my younger son was born, so it never fades away as a time of year) but I don't think a day has passed when I don't think of her. Mostly now it's to laugh, especially if I see my current dog do something that she either would have done (usually with more sass) or wouldn't have done at all because it was beneath her. She'd have got one of the others to do it... I hope he's able to open his heart to a new dog soon. They are never replacements, they find their own piece of your heart to steal. But it does make the grieving a bit less painful.
I lost my beautiful Brok April 8th 2023 Still cry when I think of him, I was Blessed by God to take in Brad a mini mix that looks like a Lab, and he is helping to heal my heart. But you know just sometimes you meet that dog, like John that is like your soul mate, Brok was mine!! 💙💙🤗🤗
When you get another dog, you are not replacing your previous dog but opening your heart to a new one. Your new puppy will put a bandaid on your heart to help you heal & learn to love again.
Hugs to John & to everyone who's lost a beloved pet, even if they weren't the bestest. I've lost so many little loves over 1/2 a century & still, I can hardly wait until I can get new ones to love & care for now. If we treat them right, all the deep sorrow is worth it. Let's face it, even if they're pains in the neck each & every week...they're still some of the best parts of our lives 😿🥹
Dude, THANK YOU for this video (and all your videos!!) I'm not feeling great at the moment and your videos make me smile ❤ so thank you for letting us know about all the goodest puppers!! 😊 and for the donations!! That's so amazing!!!!!!
I ABSOLUTELY 💯 ♥️ your videos and what you do. I unfortunately can not wear crew neck t- shirts or pullover hoodies... can you possibly do v-neck and zipper hoodies? I would buy all the colors!!!

Congrats on making it thru the treatments with her & for being a bestest human for her.
@@echognomecal6742 Thanks you! She made it more tolerable.
@@kelleywyskiel3478 Your comment just popped up (tho it's ahead of my original). Wishing you many happy memories & smiles

Grief is love with no place to go.
It's official, Clover has the best stick.
The best that ever was.
2:12 - that tiny little bark!!!
Thanks for the highlight of my week, ALL the good dogs!
I'm 27 years old with autism and I could use a dog to hold me back from doing dumb shit too
Dogs are really angels and they hide their wings so not to make us humans nervous! Dogs ROCK!
My heart dog passed away today, thank you for helping me smile dogs really are the best thing ever xx

A treat, 14 fantastic doggos. We all feel John Stewart's sorrow but it will get better, there is another special 'one' dog on the horizon for John.

Cori/Corey just a good boy!!
What I remember most from Jon's tribute to Dipper is that dog managed to do what the Taliban couldn't and scared Malala Yousafzai.
I didn't know you had a video channel! This is so good.
This is the best account! Ever! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
You just want me to cry
Ok, I avoided watching Jon Stewart because I knew what would happen. How dare you sneak it in. 😢
Watch it and embrace the tears. It's so worth it! 💜
Yeah, I bawl over every dog I’ve lost. I still keep bringing them into my life. ❤
Yay for 14 of the very best dogs. Wait, Burger makes it 15!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤️
Be a shame if the trappers got caught by their own traps and experienced the torture
A real shame
JS, proves even the lowest form of humanity can still love dogs.
I think Bear should’ve been named Oscar
Veterinary bills are absolutely expensive.
Tall elk 34
Alive eagle 34
Openminded tiger 96
Wondering duck 76
Babydoge coin
I’ve had 4 of "that dog” all playing happily at Rainbow Bridge patiently waiting for me to join them….🥲😇
