Yeah, I watched some of those real combat videos recorded from the ground with them yelling. So I thought I might simulate that by adding some of those sounds.
Your Videos always leave me in a kind of state like getting speechless. Simply great how you present those time events i can only say your channel is really underrated. I love the way you present those different scenes of flying not just showing the cockpit no also the complete surroundings. Keep up the great work would have loved to see the M-21 vs the Mirage IIIC during the six day war 1967 but since DCS lags of historic cold war fighter jets like the Mirage IIIC or the Phantom F-4, North American F-100 Super Sabre or the F105 Thunderbird...Guess will have to wait till DCS is getting them done.
Thank you for your comment. One of the things I aim for is to make the videos immersive. You also need to vary your shots and camera angles to prevent monotony. Seems to be working, at least for some people :) I also hope we get more Cold War era types soon. That would open so much possibility. But the outlook is good, Mirage III is under development by Razbam, there are also A-7 and F-8. Even Phantom apparently is not stopped. So, it will get better and better!
Strange how Syria only had these old airframes ?.I always imagined it was a fairly affluent nation what with the oil and such ? Much info gleaned from these remarkable videos.
Most Syrian military hardware was purchased in the 70s and 80s. During the civil war, old airframes such as MiG-21 or L-39 were used a lot because of simplicity and because they were well known to pilots and ground crews.

Thanks! Well, the general situation is what really happened. The airbase was surrounded and ISIL was mounting an offensive. SAAF actually did fly combat missions in Raqqa and arround the base. Plus, two squadrons of MiG-21s were located there. Exact targets of my missions are fictional but I hope they are believable.

MiG-21 is one of aircraft that I fly in it and the map of Syria is available in the game so I was looking for some event from the Syrian war to recreate. I also made another video about Russian operations against ISIL from Khmeimim airbase, you can check it out if you haven't already. As for the 17th division base, I will check the map to see if it is modeled in detail.
I dont think cause i never saw a video of ISIL flying those captured Syrian MIG's they would have released a video if they had flown those MIG's just for the propaganda purpose of it. But it seems like they had no pilots themselves. Here some Information on the subject: From the looks of the aircraft in the photos, none of them appear operational. The Mi-8 has obvious damage to the cockpit area (windscreen shot out) and there is a tangle of wiring around the mounting stubs for rocket canisters. The MiG-21s have open and missing access panels, and the field of MiG-23/27s also have pieces missing from them. Anything flyable probably left the airfield weeks ago.

Something like that. As for production span, I think F-16 beat it because it is still produced after over 40 years. And the longest serving jet aircraft will probably be the B-52, scheduled to operate for another hundred years or so :)
@@showtime112 I believe that the missions you flown, it shows you slowing down with chute deployed. I seen the parts with wheels and flaps but I don't recall any landings? Do you have a patron account? I'm pretty much sold on your style and uniqueness of the game.

You can do wonders with video editing 😊 I don't have a Patreon account, I thought it was maybe too soon for something like that. However, I will consider it. @@showtime112 Yeah, you’re right. But this is natural when muslim warrior telling this before striking (shooting rifle, throwing grenade/molotov) and not when mk83’s are falling on their heads. From my foreigner’s perspective it looks kinda as warcry or like medieval christian warriors were yelling “God is with us!” before rushing into battle. So, to sum up - my point is it would’ve been more suitable if “Allah-u-akbar” was coming from the pilot, not from the infantry on the ground. Though it is only my opinion and my personal view on the situation. I’m not in any way the specialist in Muslim religion or in the Mid Eastern language family. So… you know do it as you see it fit and don’t mind nobody else. Love your short historical videos. Do you create those missions yourself or is there some community who’s doing this?
@@ghostb9339 Ir seems to me that they use that cry especially when they are afraid, to encourage themselves. I do all the missions myself. Occasionally, someone helps with a scene when ai alone can't be programmed to act a certain way.

I think it is probably some kind of a YT filter to block bots and hate speech (this other guy wrote how isil were cowards who deserve to get bombed).
