- Donald Trump is the first former president to face a criminal trial in American history. But would a conviction on one of the 35 felony counts in his hush money case stop him from running in this year’s election?
The Constitution only requires presidential candidates be born in the U.S. and be at least 35 years of age - it does not prohibit felon’s from becoming commander-in-chief

To clarify for all, Don Felon can run for president - even as a convicted felon. Also, he can actually vote - as long as he is not incarcerated. Florida law defers to the voting law in whichever state that person was convicted. In New York, voting rights are restored as long as the person is out of jail or prison.
This confused trial will be overthrown by appeal nullifying conviction.
