Part II 😁 Darn! Haven't seen one reaction that gives Garrett Morris a shout from the original SNL cast!! He's 87 now, Holy Freaking Smokes! Oh and only seen one reaction out of 12 (?) notice Luis whistling IT'S A SMALL WORLD AFTER ALL!! ☮️
In the comics, Hank and his wife Janet were founding members of The Avengers, and it was Hank who created Ultron. However, Hank became a controversial character in the 1980s when an artist misinterpreted the script he was given and drew Hank hitting his wife, giving her a black eye. He's never really recovered as a character in the comics since then, so they used the second Ant-Man, Scott Lang, for the movie instead and replaced Hank and Janet with Hawkeye and Black Widow for the Avengers movie.
@@carlgibson285 well (Edgar Wright's) Ant-Man movie was supposed to release before Avengers but it got delayed so much they had to use Hawkeye and Widow instead. Hard to imagine how different Avengers would be with that roster.
@@gridlo as much as I would've liked to have seen Edgar Wright's Ant-Man, I'm glad they went with Black Widow and Hawkeye instead of Hank and Jan as Avengers. Plus The Ultimates (the rebooted take on the Avengers) also had Nat and Clint as founding members, so I think they were always intended to be founding members in the MCU, especially considering how much other stuff the early MCU movies took from The Ultimates comic.
A "small" detail that's easy to miss in this one: Go back to the scene where Darren Cross is introducing the buyers from Hydra. One of them has a tattoo on his neck. It's the Ten Rings from the terrorist group in the first Iron Man.
I think Ant-Man, in 1962, was Marvel borrowing from DC's 1946 mini-hero, Atom. They both started their careers with very similar talents and impacts but, as their characters were fleshed out over time, they developed very different paths.
The movie was a lot of fun and Paul Rudd was great in it with Michael Douglas and Evangeline Lily. The movie was suppose to be written and directed by Edgar Wright but the producers had other plans that needed to have it line up and there was a "creative differneces" parting. You can still see a lot of his humor in the script and some shots but it's too bad we didn't his full contribution. Captain America Civil War is next.
YES! Captain America is next and it is a ture game changer. No spoilers but have tissues ready just in case. It's is one of the films I've been super excited for you to see...
Even though most of the movies in this extended saga have humor peppered throughout, The Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant Man have more laughs than most. Plus, one other already established character, whose films take a more humorous tone from here on, I think for the better.
I love antman movie but can we settle this? Darryl can shrink objects at will. With that tech he can make transporting stuff extremely cost effective. Imagine container ship cargo ,fit inside a single boat. We are talking money beyond belief! No hydra needed no weapons no shrinking humans for war. You can shrink a crane , move it with your wallet and set it anywhere. You can move cars with a ferry 1000 times more. Anyway, the movie is extremely fun and i can close that part of my brain to enjoy it for sure.
Awesome absolutely Love this movie 🍿🎥 and easily the less destructive character!! Sucks for the antique safe though! Great Reaction Andelain!! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎
I don't really get the whole logic of having to go subatomic to get through outer case of the missile and deactivate it. I mean by the time she gone small enough to pass through the casing surely she's too small to affect anything on the other side!
For us long time comic book nerds, this is one that had us worried. They knocked it out of the park. Brilliantly done.

Not to mention that Morris played Ant-Man in one of my favorite early SNL skits.
@@myeckwaters YES! So that's the main reason. Shout to the person who thought and brought that!! ☮️

Aunt-Man!
A man with the powers of an Aunt!
That's what I call a superhero.
Your t-shirt made me subscribe.
thank you susan
(I hope you get the reference, otherwise I'm gonna look like an absolute knob)
Ant-Man is another branch that will join to form the magnificent MCU tree.
It's the "little things" that can make a story special.
A "small" detail that's easy to miss in this one: Go back to the scene where Darren Cross is introducing the buyers from Hydra. One of them has a tattoo on his neck. It's the Ten Rings from the terrorist group in the first Iron Man.
I have never noticed that, I will have to re-watch. Thanks!

Paul Rudd. Hes warm. He's funny. He's got an amazing range. He doesn't seem to age. He makes ant-man the goofball you want on your team.
Yeah! Crazy stupid fine!
Andy "It also.looks like a wasp, which Immediately makes it a little asshole." 😂😂😂 Couldn't agree more.
Very important if you didn't notice it -- the suit for Hope has WINGS. No need to ride ants around.
I absolutely love this movie. It’s in my top 5 Marvel movies. It has such high rewatchability.
Ant-man and Guardians are my favorite MCU off shoots.
Naming one of the ants was a trap. Because the moment that ant became Antony, you were attached to him.
I don’t know if I can warn you early enough to say bring tissues for Captain America: Civil War. ✌️😊
I love your reactions Ande!! I've watched all of your Marvel reactions!! You're so sweet 😊
Thanks! 😊
Awesome reaction, one of the really fun movies of the MCU
Reactions aside, you've some great t-shirts!
I was trying to figure it out. I am slow on the uptake.
I was noticing the Arnold Rimmer quote throughout the reaction. Such a smeghead.
It's a quote from Red Dwarf. 😊 @itoao
@@andelain And I love it. But you've a number of great Ts. And, you know, I do like your reactions as well.
Great reaction! Subbed after watching!! So on a side note, where does one find the "magnificent slide show"? Good luck with the channel!!!
Great reaction !

Your hair looks lovely, btw🖖
I was vaguely aware of Ant Man and was trusting Marvel with this addition to the MCU roster.
Captain America is my favorite, close second is Ant Man.
👍🙂❤
You are such a delight!
Thanks for sharing your videos with us.

😎👍
And that concludes Phase 2.
Any particular film really stand out to you?
This was definitely a solid origin story, and one of the better films in P2.
Honestly, I'd have to say Captain America: Winter Soldier. Steve is great!
@@andelain My choice also. 9.5/10.
Don’t quite understand your shirt? Just a jab at old tech.?
