Call of Duty Infinite Warfare just got a RANDOM UPDATE in 2024, completely fixing the multiplayer portion of the game on Steam PC, allowing matchmaking to perform as it should! Many believe this is the start of many older COD games receiving updates as Microsoft prepare to put these old games on Xbox Game Pass! Importantly it isn't just Xbox Game Pass for Console that these old games will be brought to, but also Xbox Game Pass for PC as well, meaning the games would have to also be brought to the Microsoft Store. With such low player numbers on the Microsoft Store versions, would Microsoft also allow crossplatform play between Steam and Microsoft Store versions of these games?!

its a shame how much money and effort is put into all of these games from years past and they get a max of 12 months support and then your forced to move on to the "new" one....this yearly cycle is terrible and needs to end
Legit is the most underrated comment! I've stopped paying into the yearly cycle cause I don't trust we even get a full 12 months it's more like 9 months and 3 months of hyping the new one
The issue is if they did do this and had a game over multiple years then the community would moan saying everything is dlc etc.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love for a game to last longer... who knows maybe with xdefiant they might be forced down that path

Cod would make so much money if they made a game that was just the collection of zombies maps.
And that reminds me why can’t they remaster or remake a single cod title of 2003 or remake or remaster them both in a collection just like halo uncharted so we won’t have problems with latest cod titles

Bad timing for when it was announced mainly. People were tired to the near future, advanced mobility COD games so lo and behold IW was COD in Space. So people lost and over hated the game

Zombies is what made infinite warfare so great because the amount of time and detail that's been put in the game, even the special guests are sick I think and doing all the Easter eggs has the BEST rewards in any zombies game that's currently going on right now

Mephistopheles is still hard Solo. One of the toughest bosses in Infinite Warfare Zombies.

Breaks my heart that no one plays this game anymore. I have some of my best memories on call of duty with this game and I just wish I could load into a game and play again. I’ve tried over and over but literally not a single lobby. It’s just a depressing ghost town despite it being a masterpiece
They need to fix the lag issue on playstation, even on solo you'll get huge lag spikes out of nowhere nothing to do with internet connection

crazy literally just started playing IW zombies this past week on ps5 and purchased it today on pc
How I’m trying to download it rn and it doesn’t let me
For anyone wondering if they should get this on steam during the sale or future ones here are some things you should know.
1. The game is hard capped at 91 fps no matter what you do, besides campaign which is hard locked at 120-125 i believe.
(You have to get a third party program to unlock the 91 cap, but it could trigger vac so do at your own risk)
2. Even with my machine (r5 5600x RTX 3060) a stable fps feeling was hard to come by, granted i do play at 1440p so that could of been why. (I generally dont have fps issues in many games at 1440p)
3. If you play at a high refresh rate like 120 or 144+, it is noticeably.. a not so great feeling ingame cause of the set hard fps cap.
Well finally we will be able to play mp. Im so happy. This is my fav cod ever

IW in general was stuttery. Its capped to 90fps so if you got VSYNC on PC, it stutters randomly like crazy 😭

The ps5 version of infinite warfare has big issues. The game is pretty much unplayable. Could be a sony issue. They def don't care anyways

I've probably got a year playtime by now because how much I have played iw. I'm glad its getting the attention it deserves(: Probably not a year but it feels like it.
me and some of my bois play iw zombies on pc just doing ee for people fun as hell its just our favorate cod we get people that buy the game when its on sale but other than that this games doesnt get that many players in zombies either hopefully this will lead to so many new players playing this game
EDIT: there are hackers just very few of them they can max rank u and i think insta unlock directors but dont quote me on that ive been blessed that i havent run into any hackers that would boast my account to 999
Literally yesterday my friends and I were doing some EE and we were talking about the good times we had back in 2016 and we were hoping maybe the game would get rebooted.
Just found this out and so happy they fixed it since It's my #1 favorite call of duty game of all time!
It’s still on sale for $20 on steam. Downloaded it tonight. Making my way through campaign. I loved the campaign. But at the time it came out the MP was my least favorite and it made me quit cod and I bought a pc and got into CSGO.

Im from bo1 mw1,2 era and IW is the best Cod experience i have encountered. Such a solid game multi player and Zombies. Loved the campaign.

@DalekJD seeing as BO3 is the most bought most played COD even after 9 years you would expect them to fix it. Nah they won’t there’s still the invisible zombie bug on Gorod Krovi where if you spam the mk3 and electrified zombie gets hit by fire i had multiple 50 speed run attempts ruined because of this. Maybe you can say something to them at Activision

Fun fact in the new warzone mode if you go to bunker there is a room with a poster that appears in the pack-a-punch area of IW zombies of an unrealesed film of willard willer, the film is called "Nightmare Summer"
The last time I tried to even load multiplayer or zombies I would get that error and just stopped trying

im having the same problem and found the solution in the steam community but it needs 2 players. We can fix that if you want. Im trying to play this game for the past 2 weeks but i cant find help
We need more devs like him... Devs who actually care about the games, even if they're low in popularity now.
I'm always wary of any updates to IW at this point due to its age. I fear they may start removing some of the licenced music in the Zombies mode.

I wish this zombies game was alive again. It was by far the best series of zombies in my opinion. I loved spaceland, rave, shoalin, and mepho boss fight so much. If you are pc and wanna play, maybe we can share steam id somehow and play together!
I have a problem and have no clue how to fix it. I own the game as a disc but whenever i try and play it says my free trial has expired and wont let me play. Pretty pathetic that things like this can even happen.

There was a fkin dude who always talk and don’t move in multiplayer and always talk ship about politics and keep yelling and protesting in a radio or something , he always annoy us , along side cheaters and modders as well
I loved IW Zombies, had a story that was fun and easy to follow loads to do in maps, great character quotes, really wish there could be a sequel as it really deserves one! I know most won’t have that view but I love it! If anyone wants to play though zombies again on PlayStation drop me a message! 👍

Look this game also has a issue on playstation where u get a random lag spike every couple seconds and it makes it so unplayable and bad and they still have not fixed the issue

I LOVE infinite warfare. Everything about it. Campaign was incredible. Multiplayer was so much fun and the movement was smoother than BO3. Zombies was top notch. I just love it so so so much.

They wanted to make it for 2023 but Activision forced them to work on the MWII premium expansion which soon turned into a "full game" which is the MWIII we have today. This is all subject to change of course, but these are the plans so far.

i bought me and my friend infinite warfare ultimate edition (my poor 80 usd but if your getting it yourself its only 40 usd and it gives you all dlc with modern warfare remastered when on sale) on steam like 2 months ago because i thought hmm i remember infinite warfare having really good zombies and we had a blast

Zombies in space land is one of the best zombies maps of all time
They need to fix the game on console yet, and mess with the trophies a smidge. Theres a trophy thats prevented people from getting the platinum, and its winning 5 multiplayer matches. Which sound's easy enough right? Yeah, but the trophy never pops and its prevented so many people from getting the Plat!

Hoping the maps are re-added to the new game or they finally add crossplay. Id prefer not to have to re-buy and beat them all after getting directors cut on playstation but we’ll see.
They should somehow put steams workshop on consoles. Make it like fallout 4 were it has a section for community made content, infinite money generator for Microsoft. bo3 will never stop selling.

I think the entire COD catalog will come to gamepass over time. You can see them integrating them all into the COD hud. I don’t think they’ll drop them en masse tho. I can’t speak to the PC versions, but most of the old CODs on console are full of hackers. It would be a PR nightmare just to drop them into 35 million strong audience in gamepass, in that state. So I’m sure (hopefully) they are putting a fair bit of work into them. You’d love to see an announcement like, coming August 15th, Infinite warfare joins gamepass…l
i think its scummy as crap to fix the xbox side and not the playstation servers.I understand microsoft owns them but cmon atleast make your games playable on all platforms since people do spend full price on these games and put money in there pockets
Hopefully they can fix the bug on PS where sometimes I would go into the boss fight and the rounds would still change and when you would go into a cutscene you would down and it wouldn’t count bc you didn’t collect soul key

I've just recently upgraded to a ps5, and I've had no problems getting games in zombies on infinite warfare, even managed to load up Advance warfare zombies on the 5,, 😆🤪😀
