Dear TeamTrees, you can save *one billion trees* with the money you have raised.
It costs you about $20M to plant 20M trees. However, given the fact that toilet papers cost us 384 trees per lifetime of a person, you can buy bidets and/or hoses that costs $20-$30 each. By spending $20M on this, you can buy a MILLION bidets for a million families. That will help saving about (2.5 people per bathroom) × (1,000,000 bathrooms) (384 trees per person) = *1 BILLION trees!!!!*
Of course not everyone is a fan of changing from toilet paper to water but finding a million family willing to endorse this idea out of the 122M American families is actually not that hard.
You guys have already raised $21M for helping the environment, but with the same amount of money, you can do much more.

You don’t have to donate for trees to be planted. Here in new england, every maple tree produces thousands of seeds annually. The seeds can be found everywhere in new england forests at the right time of year. Collect those seeds, go to an empty space where no one lives, and plant them, preferably on a rainy day so that you don’t have to water them.

In the Pacific Northwest 80f degree weather was almost never seen before except for the hottest days in summer….this year we actually have had weeks of it.
My parents planted 8 trees in front of our house years ago to not be seen from the street. The result……our house is super cool even in 100 degree heat, inside the house it’s at least 20 degrees less. The leaves are used as compost, we don’t buy wood chips. To keep our plants alive during winter we use the leaves and compost from our scraps. Come autumn I’m going to plant new trees, pine are my favorite for their smell.
It’s true that trees bring peace. I’m the happiest when I’m outside eating cherries, pears, berries I grew or caring for my vibrant plants. I cannot understand those who rather have perfect lawns with zero trees or tiny shrubs. What’s the best sensation is to see my entire backyard green as can be but my neighbors not green except where my trees shaded their homes. I also have tons of birds and bunnies who play around a lot, it’s only a problem when I have a garden but I’m learning to plant an abundance of lettuce and spinach for them in different areas of my garden to entertain them.
