- NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh called a Bloc Québécois MP racist Wednesday after a New Democrat motion on RCMP discrimination failed to receive unanimous consent from the House of Commons.
Singh refused to apologize for the words directed at Bloc member Alain Therrien. That prompted the Speaker to order Singh to leave the House for the rest of the day.
Singh had asked the Commons to recognize there is systemic racism in the RCMP and to call on the government to review the force’s budget, ensure the Mounties are truly accountable and do a full review of the RCMP’s use of force.
There was at least one objection that blocked the move, though it was unclear who said no.

Great question. A better question is why would anyone vote NDP when the party has that much hypocrisy in it. I remember him wanting lower prison sentences for violent criminals based on their race. If you watched the Parliamentary Committee investigating the Emergency Act, you would have heard that the decision to block the GoFundMe funds was not because of some Federal Intelligence agency investigation, it was because....wait for it again.....the CBC reported suspicious activity (Man, you can't make this stuff up) LOL. Another one of those conspiracy theories. Know what that suspicious activity was? Wait for it yet again.....some of these folks donated a-n-o-n-y-m-o-u-s-l-y....oooh...the horror. Not to be outdone we had MSNBC onsite in Ottawa calling it an "insurrection" (where have we heard that word before)? As the ticker scrolled out "violence reported" the on air reporter had to begrudgingly admit that no reports of violence have actually been witnessed (go figure). Let's not forget though that these folks and CNN of course were reporting "fiery but peaceful protests" during 120 nights of destruction in Portland.
As for the army, I think we would have been better served if that was indeed the case. Instead we had riot police including mounted units (with identities hidden of course) running over elderly women with walkers, pepper spraying Canadians, and assaulting news reporters. No worries though, they weren't the reporters that you would patronize (you know the CBC and those sorts who are totally unbiased lol.) so all is good my friend.

👏👏👏👏 The NDP and Liberals both need to start being held accountable for their words. This has happened way too many times. You see it so often that anyone who disagrees with any policies they put forth are automatically called racist, sexist, or any of the "phobics" in the book. This is no way to run government. And If your attitude should prove the prevailing wisdom then you’re going to learn what actual tyranny looks like versus what you think it looks like. In Canada you had a parliament that actually went to work trying to protect the public from the pandemic. Instead of having a knee in the neck for eight minutes and forty six seconds, it comes via a smile and a pat on the back as a person is singled out for no reason (other then their skin tone). it comes when a person is stopped and asked for ID, again for no reason, but again this is done with a smile and a pat on the back. It comes when a person hears from a white person, “this doesn’t happen in Canada, there is no racism in Canada, I don’t see colour!!!!” Dismissing black and brown peoples experience IS how racism shows it’s ugly face in Canada.
