I love the cheerful banter between these brothers. No macho remarks, no judgmental attitudes or rough talk, just two good and well meaning young men helping people out of predicaments. Matt and Jayme have raised them well.
I first noticed this when Rudy bought Kaulin the old chevy truck. You can tell they were brought up not just to treat one another correctly, but with genuine love.
They don't help people for free, they help them with large sums of money. If your truck gets stuck in the sand, call them and find out how much they charge to rescue you
Except for the towing eyes and how to use them. Many (most?) European, Korean and Japanese cars have them. Rhett looked into the hole and it looked deep because you're supposed to thread in a tow eye. It would be WAY more than strong enough for a straight pull like that.
The customer of for the Ford realized he wasnt going to live it down with his buddies so he didnt want to be on camera. "Dude, that wasnt my truck. Its somebody else's truck that looks just like mine."
I love the fact that the kids have transformed into real live recovery specialists! These guys were not even on camera very much when I first started watching Matt and now these guys go on recoveries by themselves. It's great that Matt takes the time with all the people in his shop to teach them how to recover stranded vehicles. Not only do they learn about recovery, but they get to learn every thing in the shop. I remember when Lizzy first started and by the time she got ready to move on in life, she was welding and working on the vehicles just as well as the guys. Katelynn is SO improved since she first joined the team and I am proud that Matt pulls no punches when it comes to everyone pulls their own weight and everyone learns how to do different jobs while on the team. This is a great family oriented channel that I proudly show my grandkids without fear of improper content. Matt, thanks for being the friend and mentor to all that you are!
I just had a new silverado high country break down in front of my shop, fuel pump died in the middle of traffic. It was stuck on the road because it wouldn't go into neutral without the engine running. Called the dealership to ask if there was any way to get the truck into neutral so we could push it off the road & they told me that it needs a special tool to get the truck into neutral without the engine on. What a pile of junk.
Way too much reliance on electronics and techno-wankery these days in modern vehicles. Brand new semi-trucks shut down in the middle of the road if one sensor on the engine detects that something isn't right, and can't be started again. Just mad.
Yes I got Subaru Outback Wilderness and I love it!! I started off-road adventures because of your videos! Thanks I love it! I can’t wait to meet you in person and see your projects done, specially the Morrvair and 6x6🔥
Petrichor. Petrichor is the word for that great smell that comes with the rain. It's the earthy scent produced when rain falls on dry soil and stone. The word is Greek in origin, 'petra', meaning stone, and 'ichor', which in Greek mythology refers to the golden fluid that flows in the veins of the immortals.
Sweat. Sweat is the word that causes that bad smell, sometimes called body odor, after it rains on you and the sun comes back out in full force on a hot summer day.
The desert has its own distinct smell the air comes in ahead of the rain &you smell the desert as it come. I was raised in the desert. I miss that smell the most.💨
I’m an engineer and I watch these videos. I guarantee you there a lot of features that engineers wanted, but had to eliminate to lower the price, weight etc. A feature is only value added if the customer is willing to pay for it, and unfortunately few people buying new cars are willing to pay for good tow points.
and on top of that, most customers don't even know what they want to have on their car. So non flashy items like tow points and full spare wheels are a waste of money in the eyes of the manufactures.
The eliminate features to lower the prices. New trucks are 70K, when they should be no mode than 45k. They take out the features to be cheap, not because they are lowering the price.
Hey Matt & crew, thanks for putting the weather in Fahrenheit & Celsius. I’m from Canada and it makes it more relatable when I see the temps in Celsius. Really liking the content. Your friend from Canada.
What makes me chuckle is that the Kia being rescued gets described as a cute little car.... here in the UK and in Europe that is classed as a large SUV! there is'nt that much bigger on the roads.
Kia suvs are big on UK roads, the occasional American truck is just plain Mahoosive. My 3door Rav4 is miniscule by comparison and probably more capable than everything in that video - with the awesome Moor air as the only exception 😅 I ain't got nothing on that beast
I saw Matt helping Robby paint his van prix van while I was waiting to get into the New England 900. What a show Cleetus put on, I hope he comes back to Connecticut next year, and I hope Matt races in that one.
Good shot coverage means the editors have enough to tell the story. Kaulin and Rhett did a great job. Man, that dirt y’all have is cruel and unforgiving to lesser vehicles. As soon as surface traction is gone it’s just soft digging when it’s this dry.
Hey Rhett. The engineers would love to give you decent recovery points but they probably can’t help you. It’s usually the commercial people that are specifying the customer requirements or the designers setting the styling for the vehicle that result in you not getting decent recovery points.
It costs more money so unless they can sell it as an upgrade package they don’t like to put them on. Even if it’s only .50 a vehicle that adds up for the number they produce.
@@alexball5907 And they determined it wasn't adequate for the recovery. Too many of those will break off when used for an off road recovery. A good recovery point is part of the vehicle and has no extraneous parts that have to be located in an emergency or that may become projectiles. At least the Kia didn't burst into flames while it was sitting parked there with everything turned off. Seen too many that have done that. Best!
It's such a pleasure watching two young men making responsible decisions and getting other people out of difficult situations. This vs: hordes of young people reveling in smash-and-grab and other criminal activities!
Feel your pain Matt, got off cruise ship right into a giant software snafu at Delta in SEATAC. Ultimately a rented car later and a nice 2k mi. Drive home. The ride went all the way across 94 through most beautiful northern part of America.
Lol, I have a static tow strap, a recovery strap(some stretch no kinetic energy), a kinetic rope, and a winch... 99% of the time I use the tow strap.. it's just easier(cause where stuff is stored) and most of the time I'm just dragging vehicles out of snow so I don't typically need any bumps.
Just some good old boys, Never meanin' no harm Straightening the curves, Pullin them trucks Flattenin' the hills, Helping dad paying the bills Makin' their way the only way they know how
Its hard to tell for sure but it looks like at 2:05 you're connecting the rope to his trailer hitch. There was a man in Arizona recently killed doing that. Never connect to a trailer hitch or ball unless you are suicidal or good at dodging bullets.
I have subscribed three times now in the last 2 months and for some reason today I am once again not subscribed to you anymore. Thank you Matt love you and your family oriented videos the whole crew is great keep it up and bless you all. Love you guys.
I do like these videos that are 10-15 minutes. The longer ones eat up my day when 30-40 minute videos are posted by Matt, Paul, Robbie, Chad, Rory, Shawn and Mike, Holly, Merlin, ... but, I guess I got nothing else to do. Keep 'em coming!
That Kia Sorento must be the FWD model. The AWD ones are fairly capable. If you go back to 2015, the Sorento had a full frame, solid rear axle with coil springs and I think 3 or 4 link setup factory. Chain driven transfer case, 4:11 gears front and back. The two-tone painted ones are AWD, the single color ones are 4x4, with 4hi, 2hi, and 4lo, and it works. Best $500 car ever, mine was a 5 speed manual with a v6, full 4x4. That sucker would go through snow up to the hood, it was ridiculously capable!
I hope Matt and Jamie made it to their destination okay. One of my neighbors had her flight delayed 90 minutes and other neighbors, after waiting several hours had their flight cancelled and they had to go back to the airport the next day to get their luggage.
You boys must have been well trained although these weren't difficult pullouts for you. The Morrvair is awesome. Looks like you "took care of business" while your parents are away. Great job. Thanks for the video.
I think the Kia tow point is behind the little square pop-out in the rear bumper that you then wind in a tow eye in thats supplied with the car. Its then part of the chassis rail. Not as quick as what you guys did tho.
6:26 A message to the engineer/designer, yes, you definitely need to think about making a good solid recovery point on each end of every vehicle. Sometimes these vehicles are driven in the north and get stuck in the snow which can be worse in some ways than sand.
The recovery brothers are back at it! Kaulin and Rhett are out in the field, doing what they do best. In this video, they were called to assist a Ford F-250 stuck in Warner Valley. As usual, they handled the recovery with ease and professionalism. It's great to see these two brothers working together so well. Their combined skills and Matt's expert training have turned them into a formidable recovery team.
You guys did a great job. I bet those grown men can’t stand seeing two young men rescuing them from stupidity. The women are like thank god someone is here to help me out of my bad situation.
I have always had good luck with Fords. My latest, a 2004 Excursion, I bought 5 years ago and all I have done is change the oil. No Spifffy-Lube for me. I use motorcraft fluid exclusively. Amazingly the 5.4 get can get 14.5 mpg if I make a serious effort yet I can get 13 if I try not at all. I really expected more like 11 or less when I bought it. I could have done much worse I must say.
All cars have their failures. Relative to how many ford sell and those that break down, I'd say the difference between brands is almost negligible. But, hey, keep up with the silly brand allegiance crap
No Matt, what stops me from buying a new Ford truck, or any truck, is that little obstacle known as 'cash flow.'
Years of watching this channel and I'm still amazed at the how well the kinetic ropes work for getting heavy vehicles out.

Absolutely agree😁👍
They don't help people for free, they help them with large sums of money. If your truck gets stuck in the sand, call them and find out how much they charge to rescue you
@@Binmanwar Of course they charge a fee, what did you expect?
Kaulin and Rhett know what they are doing because Matt knows how to teach. You learn mainly by doing, not watching. Hands on is the best way to learn.
I like Fords. but I dont like they cant make a simple inline 6 diesel option.
Except for the towing eyes and how to use them. Many (most?) European, Korean and Japanese cars have them. Rhett looked into the hole and it looked deep because you're supposed to thread in a tow eye. It would be WAY more than strong enough for a straight pull like that.
So blessed to have a father like Matt, These young men ROCK
07:56 ⛽️ “It says we’re on E, soo let’s see if we can do this!” 😂😂 Like father like son! 😂😂 Great job MORR FAMILY!! Thanks for sharing!
"E" means Enough
Isn't there a trick to the gage? For some reason, I was thinking it was backward, full meaning out? I can't remember
The customer of for the Ford realized he wasnt going to live it down with his buddies so he didnt want to be on camera. "Dude, that wasnt my truck. Its somebody else's truck that looks just like mine."
Boys it feels so so great watching you Dad must be real proud

GM's are awful... I went with Ford for my truck, so far, sogood!
"Brothers in Arms"-there is a chemistry between them. Enjoyed the vid. Matts Off Road Recovery - "Second Generation" is great ! Thank you

As a Ford owner, I can also confirm that Ford is cutting costs by hiring absolute retards in engineering
and on top of that, most customers don't even know what they want to have on their car. So non flashy items like tow points and full spare wheels are a waste of money in the eyes of the manufactures.

Love this video of two brother's Kaulin and Rhett getting them out with the Moorvair!
The Dynamic Duo get it done! 🚕"Back to the Matt Cave!"

What makes me chuckle is that the Kia being rescued gets described as a cute little car.... here in the UK and in Europe that is classed as a large SUV! there is'nt that much bigger on the roads.
Here in BANANADA it's small. My wife's RAV 4 feels a bit restricted compared to my Tundra.
I couldn't even park a F-150 anywhere in my street hahaha, even making certain corners would be tough.
Laughs in 130 Defender . . .
Kia suvs are big on UK roads, the occasional American truck is just plain Mahoosive.

How do you ram cars off the road in a beer induced road rage without big trucks ??
Rhett & Caulin proving their skills out in the field, great job guys, made it look easy. thanks for sharing
I saw Matt helping Robby paint his van prix van while I was waiting to get into the New England 900. What a show Cleetus put on, I hope he comes back to Connecticut next year, and I hope Matt races in that one.

It’s the Rhett and Kaulin show!
Rhett is the comedian ✓
Clarence and donny
Why i read this with itchy and scratch toon Melody!?
Was on I I-55 just south of Springfield IL.Saw Mats kind of place. A Corvair museum.Near mile marker 86. on the west side of the highway.

All three of these recoveries went about as well as any could. Well done guys.
The Morvair sounds sooooo good!! I love hearing that rig work!!
Good jobs guys! So nice that your dad can count on you to handle things when he's away.
I love watching you brothers work with each other. too much fun.
the E on the fuel gauge usually does NOT stand for ENOUGH!
This is awesome footage.
I'll take Matt's recovery over that shop any day.
Where is that MJ-eating-popcorn gif...
Hey Rhett. The engineers would love to give you decent recovery points but they probably can’t help you. It’s usually the commercial people that are specifying the customer requirements or the designers setting the styling for the vehicle that result in you not getting decent recovery points.
Also we're quite content watching videos of recovery crews pulling out their hair trying to find a towing point
It costs more money so unless they can sell it as an upgrade package they don’t like to put them on. Even if it’s only .50 a vehicle that adds up for the number they produce.
There was a recovery point on that Kia. The little hatch they opened leads to a threaded tube. There's an eye bolt in the toolkit that screws into it.
@@alexball5907 And they determined it wasn't adequate for the recovery. Too many of those will break off when used for an off road recovery.

Well done, guys. Still love the sound of that Morvairr.
Major bonus points for Rett know Cassidy and Sundance!! Young man is definitely being raise right!! Great duo working together for a smooth recovery!
rain is the best, water front recovery is the best. great job 🍺
People who own low ground clearance vehicles SHOULD KNOW BETTER !!!!
Great episode of Kaulin and Rhett’s Off Road Recovery.
2 mall crawler fords got stuck at 65 psi ?? Owners dont know anything about off-road. Those trucks can be extremely capable under the right owner.
Watching these 2 young men gives me some hope for the future. There are still people raising their children right.
Well, Rhett, for a long time all we had were those static straps or chains. We made it work.

I have subscribed three times now in the last 2 months and for some reason today I am once again not subscribed to you anymore. Thank you Matt love you and your family oriented videos the whole crew is great keep it up and bless you all. Love you guys.
Incredible engine sound! It's like a symphony of power! 🚀🔊
This is definitely one of the best channels on youtube. One and three-quarters of a million people agree.
Great job guys. Last few times I’ve flown at least one plane is late to take off. They have to wait for the a crew from another plane.
That Morvair and those 38's...and it looks cool too.
Won't be long, you'll be using the Bombi...well, a few more months...
Whom ever was in charge of editing did great. Also good on ya boys for stepping up and showing the rest how it's done!
I think that might be Jonah. He does great work.
Hey Rhett, don't worry you still have some growing to do.
6:21 Mat would put the rope around the Morvair's axle to lower the rope if he was there :)
Holy crap you now have two new co hosts would love to see these two more often
I absolutely LOVE Rhett's mullet. Business in the front. Party in the back! Nice!

The Boys getting things done while the folks are away. They're starting to look like old pros. Gotta love it!
You know what would be great? To have a RC model of your wrecker!
I'd buy that!
Proud moments for Matt
That was amazing. Good job guys. I have to note to you on my phone. The like button is not on the show. Had to do it on my phone
Customer in the first job was a storm trooper
NOTIFY THE REBELS! THE EMPIRE IS IN UTAH!!!!
just loving the Kaulin and Rhett show. You guys are giving the Mike and Shawn show over on trailmater a run for the money.
Sorry about that crew shortage Matt… we’re trying our best at Skywest!
nah it makes me want to buy another one. Gorgeous F250

Thank you guys

Good job guys, only thing is did you pick up that trash and make Matt proud. Miss seeing Peanut too!!!
Well done, good job by the young gentlemen of MORR team B.
Just minding the shop while Dad's away.
I think the Kia tow point is behind the little square pop-out in the rear bumper that you then wind in a tow eye in thats supplied with the car. Its then part of the chassis rail. Not as quick as what you guys did tho.
Fine young men, y’all paid attention to your Pops. 👏👏
Hey Matt, I missed videos like this when you guys are outside doing recoveries.
Another great episode of M̶a̶t̶t̶'s̶ Kaulin's Off Road Recovery
The Morvair just sounds amazing!!!
Great job Rhett!! He and Kaulin make a good team
Nice work Rhett and Kaulin ! 👍
I really enjoy seeing notifications for another MORR video, keep up the great work guys and gals!
Those are some heavy trucks to be out in that sand. Nice job making it look easy getting them out of there.
6:26 A message to the engineer/designer, yes, you definitely need to think about making a good solid recovery point on each end of every vehicle. Sometimes these vehicles are driven in the north and get stuck in the snow which can be worse in some ways than sand.
I agree with you on the better hook points. Specially on those crappy cars that always breakdown

great teamwork guys. been watching these videos since the begining. DanTheMan from Nova Scotia Canada. thumbs up eh?
