    Nice gesture, Rob. Wish I could adopt your "one in, one out" policy but mine seems to be "one in, find storage in another corner of the room". Glad to see you're keeping well, hope you enjoyed the pub.

      Great to here from you Pete, I hope you're keeping it together in these unusual times.
      D'lands is quite a tiny place, and there's over 20 guitars in the front room alone, so I don't have a choice anymore.

    So good to see you in the position where you can upgrade your guitar collection. I have found that my tastes and requirements have evolved over time which is a driver for occasional changes that aren't based on perceived value alone. Most of mine are still homemade, I don't know if you remember my threat to make a "roundback" (inspired by your Ovation noodlings) but it did eventually materialise along with some other oddities. If one is able, passing on no longer needed stuff is the way to go. Great stuff Robbo. : )

      Hey Jamie, yeah thanks mate, it is very nice to have a bit more financial freedom at the moment, after so long surviving on or below the bread-line , I hope it continues in this economic situation. That's cool you got that roundback guitar done, I seem to remember you were looking at making a roundbacked resonator guitar, was that where you went with it ? I do try to cover the various 'food groups' of guitar , rather than focusing on one brand or style, as oppose to someone local I heard about that has 30 odd Les Pauls, which I really don't understand, must be hell trying to decide which one is just right for any occasion, hahaha I think Telecaster, ES335 and SG are the next 3 styles on my hit list for the next year ahead, but always open to distractions and bargains along the way. Truly awesome to hear from you after all this time mate, very best to you , Rob

      @@robbolandsvids I finished the roundback with a steel top and matching headstock plate. It's fair to say it has a sound all of its own, I keep it tuned in open Em. I have a couple of resonators one bought and one homemade that I keep tuned to DADGAD and open A. I am currently building a couple of "interesting" guitars for other people but I am always thinking of expanding my own "food groups." keep up the good work and be well mate, it is always a real treat when you post a video. 👍🏻

    Evening, dude. That's a nice axe, but the PRS is a better guitar, for sure. At least, in the realm of METAL guitars, it's not as ridiculous as a BC Rich Warlock. Hate those stupid bloody things - talk about over compensating !!

    • @robbolandsvids
      @robbolandsvids  4 года назад +1

      That PRS has really impressed me, even though it's their cheapest model, it's a fantastic piece of kit. Hahaha, I sort of want a Warlock, just to play folk music on, for a laugh, they are bloody ridiculous though :)
