Nice video Eric, well explained. I only have the 5K, and to be honest don't use it that often, but I think it pairs nicely with the Platypod as part of my travel setup.

Hey! This is a great video! I record my videos with an iPhone XS. I was wondering if the 1K would be able to hold my phone and the Rode VideoMic Pro+ at the same time?

The 1k will be a little too light for that because of the mic, which would make it too heavy and catch ore wind. Definitely size up for that.
