i’m crying. this is the hardest morning i’ve experienced so far. i’m raising my son alone. i really needed this message today. perfect timing. i can make it through this.
You will make it through. These days won’t last he will grow very very soon. Make sure you communicate and always tell him the truth and lead by example.
Some people do not realize how fortunate they are to have parents. I like that you show cased your mom in this episode! I grew up without a mom and my dad was never present, so I agree, cherish your parents and siblings for that matter. Love your channel.
Being a parent is definitely hard. Though the children don't always realize what you're going through, seeing them happy and at peace is beautiful. I love how your kids come running, excited to eat their food. Congrats on your beet harvest!
I could write a book about my parents. They had me much later than my siblings so I was their little buddy always. I’d go to work with my dad or run errands with my mom and I was convinced they were super hero’s. Kids notice. They might not know why but they know they are safe and happy because their parents out in effort
I agree with the other reply: maybe you SHOULD write a book! Being encouraged in life is such a soul-filling experience. I’m certain there are many that could benefit.
Wow your comments at the end had me tearing . I’ve earned a newborn respect for you and your heart , your such a thoughtful person and thank you for those last few sentences that managed to pull on my heart strings.
Redeeming wounds through your future and leaving the trauma cycle in its tracks. Wow, such beautiful words. That has been my mission from the minute I found out I was pregnant with my first. Thank you so much for the encouragement, Ellen ❤️
I'm crying with the end of your video, so beautiful and so powerful words, I miss my mum so much, she died two weeks after I gave birth to my son, he's five now, I wish I could ask her million things everyday... and I truly would love to travel in time and see my mother with her 5 young children, just being a mother... I now understand so many things, why she was always falling sleep everywhere for example hahahah also my dad a super hero, I still have him and I'm so glad. Thank you Ellen for making us don't forget about the hard work our parents did, and do everyday for us :)
That last part made me cry. I have two that are 14 months apart who are 5 and 6 now, and an almost 1 year old. I homeschool them and my husband is working full time and finishing his degree full time. I am exhausted and have full hands and a very full heart. Thankful for your mama's wisdom and the words from you.
This made me cry. Its been rough lately with my boys arguing among other things and I am definitely feeling stretched. I loved when your mum said "you stretch and you grow" it made me realise that this moment in our lives is helping me to grow and now I'm grateful for this part in my parenting journey. Thank you for making this video.
Such a sweet, lovely message. I like that you did this outside of mother's day. Mothers - and all parents - ought to be acknowledged regularly for their hard work. Even though I'm not a father or mother, you inspire me give my best to the children in my life.
The end sentence got me crying so damn much girl jeeze. Thank you for saying that it is hard seeing examples of healthy families when you never had one but its so thoughtful and impactful that you mentioned this.
I’ve always loved my mom. Never doubted it for a day but WOW my eyes opened and my love grew for her once I had my oldest. I was sobbing sending her texts telling her how much I appreciated her and loved her. And you’ll never understand how much your parents love you until you have a child of your own. Then it’s like wow, my parents feel this way about me? It’s amazing.
From someone who is reparenting myself, while parenting my 4 kids. It’s hard, and hearing you say these words were so encouraging. God bless your precious family Ellen❤️
I didn't think I was going to cry at your video today Ellen ❤ I have amazing childhood memories. We are raising 4 kids, one with special needs . Its alot, but your encouragement makes me think , maybe I'm not screwing it up too bad . Thank you Ellen
Ellen, this is one of your best videos ever.! It spoke right to my heart. Sometimes I think we wake up on auto pilot, hurrying through the day to make sure all the “stuff”gets completed. We don’t stop what we are doing to have conversations with our kids or engage with them. Time sure does fly by and pretty soon our children are all grown up. All that time was lost just so I could have a clean house. Thank you for showing me to slow down, be present and enjoy this precious time. It’s SO worth it!
What a beautiful video and message. Exactly what I needed to hear! We are definitely in a busy season of parenting, where I often find myself feeling exhausted. This was a beautiful reminder of why all of us parents do what we do! Thank you for being real and honest.
Your an inspiration. Thankyou. especially for the narative at the end of this video., sometimes people need to hear that. a big huge virtual hug to you too , thankyou for caring !
A beautiful and encouraging video. Exactly what I needed for today. I am being the mom I so desperately needed but never had, it's so hard but SO worth it. You are very blessed to have your mom, she seems like a lovely and caring soul.
Absolutely beautiful. I really (really) needed this today. Also, eating vegan is a natural form of Self Care. As a mother who has made poor and unhealthy food choices in the past-with devastating health issues that resulted in expense medical bills and many trips to the ER and hospital-I now realize that Self Care is vital. There is a difference between spoiling yourself and wisely nurturing yourself so that you can nurture others. You can’t give what you don’t have. And Ellen Fisher is such an inspiring example of finding a beautiful balance at every stage of her motherhood experience. Love you so much Ellen!! Praying for you & your sweet family ✨❤️💫
Thank You this was so beautiful and I needed to hear this. I'm a mom of four my husband works alot I home school my four children so life can seem a blurr and like everything I do is unnoticed so this was a nice thing to hear. Thank you Ellen. You and your family and mom are so beautiful.
On behalf of your children, thank you. I only have one toddler and I desperately want to homeschool her. Some days I'm not so sure that will happen, because it seems tough. But you most certainly are appreciated.
This video came at the perfect time. Our third baby was born just a couple of days ago, and while I am more excited to be a parent than ever and more in love with being a mama to these little ones, looking at all the changes and adjustments ahead is very overwhelming, and I feel so inadequate. Thank you for this wonderfully-timed message and for the constant encouragement and advice you give to parents. ❤️
I’m in tears. Beautiful ending Ellen! I just had my third baby and everything has felt so hard. This video was so needed and a great reminder. Thank you for what you do and share with us!! ❤️
What a beautiful picture of the rewards being parents but also to all those parents who worked hard doing what they knew best. As my mom is so far away and raising her grandchildren. I feel both are missing out on so much and my dad gone. Makes me realizes all the sacrifices they gave. Watching you hug your mom, I only wish I could do that for real. Thanks for the beautiful picture and the encouragement I needed as my husband and I raise our little people.
I also saute the greens with garlic, sea salt, olive oil along with other greens from the garden. Smoothie, , sautéed, or any other recipe - yummy and so good for you! on a different note, along with nurturing others I feel that it so important to have self care (versus self-indulgence) and sometimes that does require that we are "selfish". We cannot serve others if we are drawing from an empty well. You seem to be good at balancing all of that.
Always questioning whether I’m doing a good job as a single mum of two boys. It’s extra tough with an autistic 4 year old too. It’s videos like this that help me get through those really tough moments and inspire me to do better. Thank you x you are honestly my biggest inspiration. My boys and I love watching your family xxxx
Ellen thank you for this video wr had fertility issues and after tragic miscarriages we adopted via foster care. We love our kids so much and are blessed to have them but it is draining. Thank you for acknowledging this
My sister and I are also 14 months apart and we are best friends. We both watch your channel and Hannah’s and want to have future families like your guys’
You had me tearing up at the end. Since I had my son I often mourned my past independent life and felt like I could never get back town that. This Video made me realize that everything is just a phase, and that the years of sacrificing yourself to your children pass by so quickly. I may not get lots of time for myself for a few years, but all will be caught up on later. Kids are only little for such a short time.
This is such a stunning video, thank you so much for sharing this. Elvis at the end is just so beautiful, I'm relieved I'm not the only one getting emotional!
I absolutely needed this. I too have 4 kids like you. 3 boys and 1 girl. My oldest is going to be 7 years old and then i have a 4 year old, a 2 year old, and a 8 month old baby. Your life is my goals. I dream of documenting my life and my childrens life and capturing these beautiful moments but also the unedited raw moment and sharing it with the world and eventually making enough to have my husband home with us. We'd love to homeschool and be fully vegan just havent been able to commit. Thank you for sharing your life and making me see that it is possible.
Being a parent makes you appreciate everything your parents did to you, am so grateful I still get to see my parents and tell them how thankful I am . My baby has taught me a lot and am still learning, some days are tougher than others but at the end of the day when he lays in bed, am in total bliss knowing I have the greatest present in my life . Praying for all mothers and fathers
Crying this hit me so hard I’ve always, always wanted to be a mom for as long as I can remember. My early teenage years were rough, my mom worked so hard to help me but I still was a teenager.. and rude at points. (Ugh teenagers) As of now though being 19, nannying for 3 years now with kids i love like my own i have already grown to appreciate and basically be in woah of how amazing my mom is. Every mom is. Oh my! This got me!! Having a ‘troubled’ childhood myself, i am constantly trying my best to be there for my kids as much as possible but yet also feel like such a failure because I don’t have much money, because I sometimes do get impatient, because my marriage isn’t a perfect role model for them because im currently overweight snd struggling to get healthy.. I could go on! Sending so much love and hugs to all mamas especially those who are struggling! ❤️ Thank you Ellen for your beautiful video and wise words and encouragement, you’re a beautiful soul! Xx
You must be doing the right thing if your son trusts you to share such raw feelings. I don't think it's as uncommon as you might think it is--especially with what is happening n the world. Try to find your tribe. Maybe a meet-up for a vegan potluck. Maybe you can find other homeschooling parents with similar values. You've got this! 👍🙏

Ellen, You will have a team of helpers before long! My 3 kids divide the morning and evening chores, unloading and loading dishwasher, walking dog, feeding our pets, taking compost and trash...and a bit more! Feels like yesterday they were little like yours and I was non stop breastfeeding and cleaning! Now its easier with a 18, 13, 12 yr old but I miss the little cute days!
That is so true !!!! What you put into parenting is so worth it my two sons are amazing young men and I’m so proud of them everyday ❤️and your mama is the sweetest and so are you!!!
Wow this was beautiful and so encouraging made me tear up, thank you for this message!! On social media we hear all the time “self care self love etc”. It was so nice to hear an alternative message of encouragement- that this is just a season of life. And we are doing important kingdom work in the lives of our children! THAT is what keeps me going 💗
I needed that last bit 😔 I’m learning how to be a parent to myself (no kids yet just trying to fix/heal from my past) and it’s difficult because I’m hurt/resentful that I have to do it as an adult.
i’m crying. this is the hardest morning i’ve experienced so far. i’m raising my son alone. i really needed this message today. perfect timing. i can make it through this.
You can x we are strong as mothers x
Need to talk?
You can do it. I raised my daughter alone. She’s my best friend. Hugs to you!
You can do it! My mom was a single parent and I think she did an amazing job raising me! She is everything to me! ♥️ Hugs.
You will make it through. These days won’t last he will grow very very soon. Make sure you communicate and always tell him the truth and lead by example.

You remind me that parenting should be fun, spontaneous, and filled with laughter - thank you for that!

Elvis‘ words are so true. He already knows how awesome you are. Had tears in my eyes watching the end over and over again.
This is so inspiring. I'm thriving as a vegan and am determined to stay vegan through pregnancy by doing my research and nourishing myself real well
Seeing you hug your mom brought me to tears. We just unexpectedly lost my mom. I love your channel.

That was such a gorgeous message Ellen. The mirroring of parent to child and child to parent is so moving. Thank you.
Making some cry today! In a good way❤️ I feel this all the time. I’m so thankful to still have my parents here on earth with me and I cherish that.

Elvis’ comment at the very end made me cry. So sweet.
Great to see creators showing the world how amazing life is and can be. Love the Podcasts too. 🤙

i love the sweet encouragment you give in this video! being a Mom is so sweet and hard good work! youve inspired me for years!
Aw! 😭I’m pacing my bedroom at 3am because my youngest won’t sleep (I’ve had about 2 hours and no more in sight) I needed this perfectly timed message
Thank you so much for posting videos. I lol forward to them. This one made me tear up at the end. You’re an amazing mother.
I loved seeing your Mom, you should totally do a podcast with her. I would listen to it. Great success 👍
I needed that last bit 😔 I’m learning how to be a parent to myself (no kids yet just trying to fix/heal from my past) and it’s difficult because I’m hurt/resentful that I have to do it as an adult.
You make mom life look so easy and effortless 💕
Definitely needed to hear those words today. Thank you! ❤️❤️
