Yamaha SR250 - a new chapter begins

This is the first of many videos to come documenting my journey of modifying and owning my first motorbike. I purchased this Yamaha SR 250 around 6 months ago and have a few mods in mind for it. I know this might not cater to a very wide audience as it is a super specific model and not overly popular but this is my journey of all of it.

G'day,
I am also in Perth W.A, I ride a Yamaha SR250 to work almost everyday though mine is a 1980 model. Great little commmuter bike though because it so light its kinda scary on the highway.
Mine is completely stock though i think with the original model the exhaust is definately not so quite.

That’s so cool that you live here too mate! How long have you been riding it work ? I’m planning on riding it to work as there is free Mc parking and it will save me around a 20 min walk once I get there.
Do you take it anywhere to get serviced or do you do it yourself ? Nice to meet ya! 🎉

I've been riding it to work since 2019
I take it to a bloke in Genie exhaust booragoon who deals with alot of older bikes.

I’ll have to pop in and have a chat with them. Might be good considering they have worked on your bike and it’s similar. I’ll have to document the whole thing of course 😊
