Even if you think the situation is hopeless and you totally give yourself to melancholy , your spirit will eventually rise from that state naturally . We should allow ourselves to broke sometimes and not be in the constant tension with the bad things . Our felling is always legitimate . We shall not force happiness , ok ?

If a person follows the Eightfold Path, then the release from suffering is not dependent on life's circumstances or the situation. It is only dependent on the skill with which the person follows the Path. The Third and Fourth Nobel Truth.

Who did she go to Japan with no money??? See they never give detailed instructions so how can I believe them? (Like who the hell is she just happy now? She still has no bf or a job I mean not having a bf no big deal but how could anyone ever live happily without a job or money?)

I think you missed the point. Don’t worry about the facts in this teaching. It is common for people to change their outlook when faced with even worse difficulties.

I agree. This gives no real guidance other than "find the money to travel or die, no one will stop you." What kind of information is that? Sounds a bit cruel. There is a channel for Ven. Nick. I find that a lot more englightening.
