    That K-37 is as much fun to watch as the "Big Boy". I love 'em both! 🤗😊

    A beautiful video, you have kept people out of the way and made a reenactment like the real thing many years ago. Well done! Except Fan train at 10.00 and at the end. This video is a seller as a freight move only-Well done.

    Fantastic shots. How did you get such perfect audio without having to hear a dozen other cameras going off on the photo line?

      I have an external microphone, it doesn't always block out the shutter though.

    Gads! How many people did it take to shoot this? Even with leapfrogging it must have taken a few. There are so many setups. Thank you for sharing one of the best train videos I have seen. I have saved it and will watch it again.

      Hi There, All this footage was only filmed by me, One person. The footage was taken on a Trains Magazine photo charter where the train stops, let's you out to take photo and video then moves onto the next location. Thank you for the compliment, if you liked this video you will love the clips from Day 2 of the charter which you can view here:

    It sounds like it’s going over a hundred miles an hour, before you realize it’s going no faster than a bicycle.

    Why is there a third rail?

    • @akoll6138
      @akoll6138 3 года назад +1

      The third rail is there so that narrow gauge trains can run on the same track as standard gauge trains mostly for convenience so that they don’t need to lay another track in a different gauge. Narrow gauge trains will have their wheels ride on the middle rail and standard gauge trains will use the outer most rail

    • @SLORailfanning
      @SLORailfanning  3 года назад +12

      You are incorrect, this is a narrow gauge railroad, not dual gauge. The third rail is a Guard Rail which is used to help keep the trucks aligned and to help derails from worsening.

      @@SLORailfanning Ah, my bad. It should’ve hit me that this railroad was already narrow gauge. Thanks for correcting me

      @@SLORailfanning 100% CORRECT this is NOT a Dual Gauge Railroad . It once did have Some although But Not any longer
