Yes I do because of the water slide. I use Crystalac.
@@blueandberrydesign I planned on trying this with a cup I would have done sublimation on. So at that point would I still need to do a coat on top?

@@dreams2realityint if you’re sublimating it then no, if you are putting a water slide with the paint on a sublimation cup, you’d still want to seal the water slide with your epoxy.

Sure! The light pink is rustoleum candy pink and 2x rustoleum Coral

So if I use epoxy.. I would prep my cup, apply waterslide, epoxy and then apply dawn and paint .. drying between ?
Yes then you can apply another coat of epoxy.

What can you use to seal the waterslide if you dont have crystalac?
You can use rustoleum 2x clear spray :-)
Do you epoxy them before you add the water slide?
I use Crystalac but no, I prep then paint with semi gloss, add water slide then Crystalac or epoxy.
My spray paint runs after rinsing off the dawn spray and my cups left with water spots. Is that supposed to happen?
The spray paint shouldn’t run, unless there is too much on it, or the Dawn spray is running? I do mine pretty quickly once the Dawn goes on.
@@blueandberrydesign yea after I spray on the dawn, I spray paint my color then quickly rinse off. When I rinse the cup, the spray paint runs from getting wet. Maybe I am spraying too much, I’ll try again 😊
