The wunderstone is awesome and that piece reminded me of modern graffiti 😊
It does!
I like how u cut open random rocks. I often wonder what alot of different ones look like on the inside. I also like how u get straight to the point.
Thanks so much! 😊
Thanks!
I actually destroyed some random rocks by throwing and smashing them with a hammer, they're colorful
The black agate reminds me of a "mermaids purse"/ shark egg, so cool!
Haha it does!
I love cutting into old rocks we found. Old rocks expose new treasures!👍🏼👍🏼
Agreed 👍
Ну разрезали, а дальше что? Может собрать из них прекрасное? Распилить много ума не надо!
3:44 was a very beautiful specimen. 2:15 was very cool too. So much hidden beauty and complexity in the minerals that make up the ground we tread everyday . Endless variety to discover.
Thanks!
Totally agree, the 3:44 inspection is so pretty!!!
Wow, JUST BEAUTIFUL.Thank you for sharing. Please make a video when you are visiting the Mahogany obsidian and snowflake obsidian in Delta. someday.
Will do! I also plan to visit the obsidian flow up the canyon from the geothermal plant in milford
I love the coral piece you have! I would love to have a slice of it polished and made into a pendent. The one on the left that came out more round is just amazing! Now I am going to be on the lookout to see if I can find any of it online because there is no chance of finding anything like that where I live sadly. Nothing but cornfields forever in the part of Indiana I am in. 😭
Aww, man! Hopefully you will have opportunities to go on some trips where you can do some proper rockhounding!
If you want to cut the not-so-great-looking petrified wood into chunks and polish it, you can sell it for a small (small) fortune online as people in the new age community and other traditions buy it for grounding, protection, and other metaphysical uses. Prettier pieces sell for more though, but they don't need to be very big, just a small chunk to carry in one's pocket.
Thanks for the advice! I have been thinking about setting up an online shop and selling things, but haven't really had the time for it.
Nice! But you're busted. The saw marks didn't match up on all your cuts, which means you polished them. I don't think that's cheating, but I use a 10" MK and I'm not getting cuts like that except with an oil drip and only on the harder stones. So I am probly jealous of your equipment. WAIT a minute! That came out wrong!🥵
Haha, actually they are just wet so some of the marks are not showing up. I am starting to get into polishing, though!
I think if you want to go the extra drive, I think the Hauser geode beds would be a great place for you to go. I've been around 5 times now and if you know what you are doing, you could come home with a hefty, high-quality load. The whole area around there is very beautiful as well.
Hauser geode beds sounds familiar... I believe those were in southern california? Just looked it up, yep that would be quite a drive for me. Probably won't get around to visiting them for quite some time, but thanks for the tip!
@@theruggedrockhound Yea definitely man it's your choice. Just a suggestion! Good luck.
I've always looked for a channel with videos like these! Just relaxing, pretty stones. Nothing arround it, at least not much. Id like to see more videos like these. Left you a sub^^
Thanks! I will keep it up!
Curious? What brand/size of wet saw do u use? I don't think I've seen a video with u cutting rocks? You just show the rocks already cut.
Thanks 😎
Rock on Brother
Thanks!
@ 1:45 looks like a scissors!
❤ this video!
They do!
Enjoyed that thank you.
You are welcome!
What do you do with all the rocks you cut? Do you tumble them or grind and polish the flat cut side?
Right now I just hold on to them, but the plan is to polish them and make things out of them

Here are the GPS coordinates of where we parked: 39.931638, -111.530741 Just walk up the hill, they are everywhere near the top. Keep in mind, this is State Trust land so you need to get a permit from the state to collect here. You can easily find that information online at trustlands.utah.gov/.
