Funnily enough, not all those mythics from the bonus sheet weren’t meant to be mythics.
They were originally meant to be part of an aftermath style set, with uncommons, rares, and mythics.
Way to undervalue your mythics wotc.
Explained this to a student at the pre-release and he went ballistic. It was extremely funny. On the other hand 4 EUR reanimate is now a thing.

This set will not hold up. The foiling on these make all the cards look blurry. I had to check my eyes when I first opened a foil.

I will say that I have pulled more mythics from this setthan any other set so I wonder about how values will hold up.
All the cards in The Vault were upshifted to Mythic. Commons and uncommons everything. They aren't true mythics.

For me, these last two sets were a miss. I may buy a pack or two, but I don’t care for the themes. Modern Masters is always a good set. The one that spikes my interests the most is Bloomburrow. It reminds me of the Mouse Guard, and Mice and Mystics the board game. I know my opinion may be unpopular, but Clue MTG and Western MTG does nothing for me.
Thank you! Murders was disappointing but not horrible. This one is aftermath with a gimmick, after screwing with the pack formula. Pre release was a complete waste of of money imo

LCS's were packed here in NJ this weekend for events. People were wearing cowboy hats, Many sold out of CBs and re-ordering x2 YEE-HAW!

It's functionally a good set. The cowboy aesthetics and coming out right before MH3 are hindrances though. I opened a prerelease kit and I got good cards, 2 terror of the peaks and the new sword as highlights, but those 6 packs were also enough for me. Singles for anything I need, the cards I don't want I really don't want in this set, simply because the aesthetic flavor.
The playboosters are, but the set isn't.

I've been enjoying Star Wars Unlimited and Hearthstone. Magic has become a cash grab. Reprint after reprint, 10 different variations of one card, the mechanics have been terrible and the gameplay very monotonous. I still play obviously, but I haven't bought a pack in a while. 2 years? Wish they'd just go back to the good ol days.
