First, “arguments” are things,character, cell names or other functions you enter in a bracket of a particular function. For instance, when you enter =SUM(B4, B6) in a cell, the B4 and B6 in the bracket are ARGUMENTS. The question is interested in a function that does not need any argument to give you a reasonable result. =YESTERDAY() is not available in excel, or won’t give you an answer or will give you error But =TODAY() will give you an answer Hope this explanation helps
