I have despised Keefe since the start. This is the coach who dumped Freddie Anderson in favor of Jack Campbell. I knew he was an idiot before he had coached his first game.
originally he wasn't going to let them play at all... got his arm twisted to let the kid get 70. I mean Keefe did the right thing in the end, but he just doesn't understand what that milestone means for someone.

@starpetalarts6668 Keefe is a bad coach, he ran a full 4 line game when your down 5 and a player is on a milestone, put matthews on the 4th with reeves for a bit of room, matthews gets paid alot of money, he should be allowed to play
Easier to get an assist than a goal, Kucherov pretty much stayed in the same spot and they kept him being the 2nd/most recent person to touch the puck before taking a shot, matthews uses more energy having to shake off defenders covering him and find position

From an offensive point of view yes, but overall, with his defensive metrics, I still think you could make a case for Matthews. Mac probably wins it though, he doesn't have one, which is a factor when there is this tight of a race, but anyone of these guys could win it and I wouldn't feel like anyone got snubbed. All 4 of them deserve it in one way or another.
