I'd like to hear more of your thoughts on occlusion training. It seems to be the hot topic around the firehouse gym. Is it a good alternative to "standard" lifting protocols (body building or CrossFit type work), or should it be used in specific circumstances?
I am glad you did a video about BFR Dr Mercola recommend it a lot, he says it is the best effective training without any risk of injuries, is it good for women too?
It's actually quite dangerous if not done properly. Chris Duffin from Kabuki has some great insight related to this. If it's too tights it's dangerous, if it's not tight enough, it's pointless.
For a lifter, could you do this as part of a conditioning peice. So say you've got 5 goblet squats on the min, for 10mins. Slap some voodoo floss on for this to really get the pump in the legs?
Cool. I'm going to try this around my neck when I've studied.
Voodoo flossing the neck is a great remedy for neck pain or any pain for that matter.

Solution: use a better occlusion device like SmartCuffs or KAATSU

Would this work for a squat warm up if you have cranky knees?
Absolutely
Yes. Just put them to 80% LOP and walk.
DVT
Waiting for the explanation of why you would want to do this. I can see a stroke coming...
