Just disconnect the wastegate actuator for max amount of boost possible!.......also replacing the turbo seal or turbo wont help with the oil leak or it blowing smoke cause the gravity feed oil return line is going up hill 😁
Absolutely loving this💯👍😁 I'm nearing 50yrs of age and this reminds me of the awesome fun I used to have with a Bro of mine 20years ago mucjing about with turbos and leads and timing and that discovery if bleed valves and boost increases. I recall discovering maximum boost on an old 1600cc Mazda gtx and having the best weekend ever thrashing it till the turbo blew up. Those were the days💯 Thanks guys, really really awesome fun content💯👍😁
Disconnect the waste gate actuator and put new spark plugs in that gapping was nuts haha also dont forget to bleed the cooling system since the belt came off and top ya oil back up
Sounded like on your last pull that the clutch started to slip. Disconnect the wastegate tube but check the gauge that you don’t boost past 8psi. As you know the turbo is to low and can’t dump the oil fast enough, therefore pressurising the seal so will leak oil and burn it till it totally blows. Your carb isn’t a blow through carby so you’re pressurising the fuel bowl etc etc. Check for boost leaks all the time. Smoke the system if you can. Not criticising you guys just trying to help with some things to think about. Keep it up 👍🏻 looks like you’re having fun. Rock on
You've already found the limitation... fuel. Had you mounted (yes it's abit more than you want to do) the carb before the turbo, ditching the intercooler, there would be more room for improvement (oversizing the jets- which comes with it's own draw backs). It's all been done before you were a sparkle in daddy's nut sack, It's great to see that you're having fun though on your journey to meet detonation
Definitely a head Gasket issue. The accessories belt only drives the alternator. The water pump is driven by the timing belt. If that broke the car wouldn't run at all. Also, you can put a nipple in the top of the mechanical fuel pump and connect a vacuum line from there to a manifold vacuum port. That will make it into a boost-referenced fuel pump.
5:09 haven't seen the entire video yet but don't worry about the oil on the plugs, that's the valve stem seals, they fail ALOT on those engines, if you remove your intake manifold you'll see the oil on the valve heads, you won't lose compression tho, it's just a little oil consumption!
The carb will be running off 5-6psi fuel pressure by adding 4 psi boost pressure you’re decreasing fuel pressure to 2psi. Which is probably running the blows low Hints why it’s breaking up. A big fuel pump and a vacuum fuel regulator will sort it out. For example you need 10psi fuel pressure to run 4psi boost continuously . 10psi boost=16 psi fuel
Do u not try to like maybe make the manifold upside down and the turbo will on top instead of down? Like it's look kinda scary that the turbo just hanging out like that.
this is the best car content on youtube
this is hectic bruh, watching from western australia, keep it up 👍

awesome again guys, lovit

Lol.... Love the content boys... Having a go.. absolutely love it..
Open down pipes really do seem to attract a lot of angry reactions, try putting a bit more exhaust on there 😂
Mad tuners go for it boys! Great build for learning
Thanks for the motivation!

Thanks, will do

Appreciate the advice. We know we have a poor setup just giving it a crack.
Loving the turboed little Johnny my bro. This thing is sic 💯 can't wait to see more on the mighty C roller
Yeahhh boiii! More to come 😈
fucking heaps fun boys! keeps you guys busy and a great learning experience this rollla hahah send the fucking psi all the way haha
thumbnail mint
good on ya lads. Reminds me of times past, except the corollas were rwd and had 4k's in them. send it to the fucken moon!
We wish we had an old school Rolla!
would you want to swap for a honda civic?
you could boost the d15 and i could use a new daily 😂😂
The return of the carbi 🎉
Fuck yeah brothers

Incorrect 2e the fan belt driven from crank pully to alternator and water pump.
The cam belt driven by crank shaft drives the oil pump and cam

Drill the jets in the carb it make it have more fuel
throw a screamer pipe with a pinched end on it haha
I like yah thinking 🤔
#hawktuah love it 😂

We know it's far from ideal. We are just going for simplicity.
@@BADFAB24 i see...as long as it fun i guess there is no problem with it lol
it needs nos
Next vid 🤫
ahahahahahahahaha 2psi of boost what the actual
