- Zenless Zone Zero is an upcoming free-to-play action RPG developed by miHoYo. Players will embody Proxy as they help others with exploring the hostile alternate dimensions called Hollows in the post-apocalyptic futuristic heaven known as New Eridu. Take a look at over 10 minutes of gameplay from the game including free-roam exploration sections, dialogue sequences, and plenty of combat scenarios. Zenless Zone Zero is launching on July 4 for PlayStation 5 (PS5), iOS, Android, and PC.

Love the attention to details, and like that when switching characters you still briefly see the last character on the field. nice detail there

It's not just for show. The previous character is still actively doing damage for that short time.
If you switch at bad timing your previous char will still take dmg btw that not just for show

in the end it wouldnt be possible to be made without said gacha money, atleast tho theyre being quite generous ingame with giving us so many free units and pulls so one cant complain
@@roomer8381Yeah ppl don’t know a Gacha game is not only just Gacha, but an entire formula as well. There is a reason why 99% of Gacha games are the same 4 recycled genres, or why they’re always online required despite all being single player focused.
If this game wasn’t Gacha, they would surely also change gameplay and aesthetics to appease to non gacha gamers. Then it would no longer be the same game you want to play.
Thankfully unlike Genshin, lag won’t matter in this game since damage calculations are done client side.
The soundtrack, visuals, and character designs seem fantastic so far.
I'm excited to give this game a try. It seems like a cut above.

This looks like such a great game. The UI and character interactions are so clean
Mash buttons for 1 minute and change between characters where you still smash buttons with the same over the top animations and the enemy is like "yea I'm a bullet sponge so you can spent 2 minutes killing me doing nothing".

They don't. Most battles with multiple foes should be less than 2 minutes. If you are beating on enemies for 10 minutes you need to level and build your team better as well as play better.

Wait so like we are only walking around as the main character in the outside world while the cooler characters are in some kind of monitor???!
4:43 you can message the characters for special events and also have option to invite them to hangout
We use MC to walk around the city/town
When you get into the monitor, you turned into a Bangboo/Bunny-like doll to watch and/or observed the team fighting in the Hollow Zone/a dangerous place full of enemies and monsters
The pink hair (Nicole), White hair with sword (Anby), bluish black red hair with gun (Zhu Yuan) are the people who went into that dangerous Zone to finished the mission
Since we are players, there's no way we only watch them fighting, so instead, we played the game with those characters
While in that game, they're the one who did it, while the MC just giving informations, help a little, and observe
Not everyone can go into that dangerous zone without getting hurt in some way, so the monitors/TV is served like some gate to access and connect to them without harming the MC (except being tired or having a little headache/nauseous)
We aren't them, since our character/MC is not a real fighter like them who can use a lot of weapons, doing tricks, fighting with style

we are wise or belle(The twins) in the towns and such but when we get into the main gameplay we sync in with a bangboo known as Phaeton who is essentially a guide to proxies(the characters) the monitors are just representation of us looking through the screen of the bangboo
This is the tradeoff for getting cooler characters and not constraining them to "five basic body types". Even with world physics far less intricate than in Genshin Impact, model clipping and boundary glitching is worth being paranoid about when you're releasing on this scale. The monitors are actually a small bit of genius here; by taking away control of how characters get from one combat arena to the next we reserve the potential to animate them moving through more complex space.
The bangboos be either like "bwabwabwa" from Rabbids or "Bananonina!" from Minions. 🐰
The game ui is incredible and not bland, it's not boring to look at

No, this is just a representation so you can look at the combat animations. If you want to view the actual damage you need to play it or see other people play the game

They can't stop ruining the combat of these games with the micro pauses on attack/ability hits to facilitate "feedback" when in reality it introduces clunkiness
Most games HoYo releases are single player based games, they barely allow having a competitive gameplay with other players (only through some minigame events with limited interaction or coop)
they would very unlikely release a MOBA game or first person shooting, probably the genres of the games that I'm expecting them to release in the future are MetroidVania, Stealth-based, Point and Click or a possible Survival Horror.
