Saw them live for the first time at Electric Picnic the other day and they were absolutely brilliant. Kapranos is an outstanding frontman, the songs are great and they're all terrific players. and seemingly very likeable and genuine people
I love the explanations they give for the various songs. That's one of the things I love about these lads. Their songs have substance and meaning, and even though I don't always pick up on or understand the subtleties, they're always there and I greatly appreciate them. God, I'm loving this new album.

god i wish this was longer.. i would gladly listen to them talk abt every single detail inside these songs for hours (+ i would love to see what was behind songs that werent discussed at all like treason animals or brief encounters)

Those are really reasons folks use? That is funny. If you've ever been to their live shows, you would know that they put so much enthusiasm and dedication into their shows, and they hardly try to be popular. I think they're just trying to make a good album for themselves and the fans. But oh well, their loss for missing out on some great tunes.
