This feels like an actual gag from the game. Maybe where the narrator is making some philosophical point about Stanley’s hubris. “Why, you think this story is all about you, don’t you? Well, how about this.”
It is actually a gag in the HD Remix, as a matter of fact. You can input a code in the Source developer console that'll make the Narrator just endlessly repeat "Stanley". I believe it's a jab at Raphael.

Funny how in "The Stanley Parable Demonstration" the Narrator says "Stanley" about 35 times, but every time it's just him saying the name of the main game. When the Narrator addresses the player, he just says "you" (Like "Hey, do YOU remember...", when he is taking about our meeting while we sitting in some kind of elevator (I guess it is an elevator but idk honestly 🤷♀️), while in the main game he often call us Stanley (bcs we ARE Stanley while we play the game, obviously).

Really great ammiration for doing this! It's a pain in the a$$, but you still did it! More ammiration for adding the original mod, the demo, extra dialogue and also the unused dialogue that can be heard in the museum. Really impressive!
One thing: During the latest scenarios in the Skip Button Ending, there's a particular ambience noise. If you sped it up, you will hear a distant voice vaguely saying "Staaanleeeey!". Probably it's The Narrator that went insane after milion of years of solitude.
