      One of my all time favorite Celtics. Bird was the leader but McHale had freakishly long arms and could cover a lot of ground. Great forward and had personality as well.

      It was ridiculous sometimes how much to that side some defenders would cheat, they’d be standing by his shoulder when he was posted up back-to-the-basket, and he’d still just not only shoot his jumper anyway, but hit it.

      In 93-94 both missed extended stretches due to injury which ultimately killed their season and 94-95 they had bad luck drawing the Bulls in the 1st round after MJ returned and then it ended, they really didn't have very many opportunities since they didn't play together for too long.

      Don’t forget about Len Bias, too. Difficult times in Boston began with that unfortunate loss on draft day. I don’t know if the Celtics would’ve won anything in the ‘90s, but they probably would’ve been a lot more competitive.

    • @Joseph-lz5er
      @Joseph-lz5er 3 месяца назад

      @@smoothALOE Bias and Lewis would've challenged the Bulls during the 90s. They were supposed to be the Bulls' rivalry, but tragedy allowed the Bulls to go unscathed without stiff competition.

    • @smoothALOE
      @smoothALOE 3 месяца назад +1

      @@Joseph-lz5er I agree with part of that, but not all of it. Either way, it’s merely a hypothetical. There’s no way to know just how good Bias and Lewis really would’ve been together. We can only speculate. To say there was no stuff competition for the Bulls is not true, in my view.

      Plenty of good players on that team. Parish, McHale both hall of gamers. Reggie Lewis was an allstar and Xavier McDaniel was a former allstar who could still ball. Sherman Douglas was a solid point guard, Kevin Gamble was solid at 2 or 3 and Dee Brown was one of the most athletic players in the league. Rick Fox was young but improving. Only scrub I see out there is Abdelnaby. Get educated you sound ignorant.
