MJ did this against one of the greatest teams all-time, with one of the greatest defenses, in their volatile home stadium, right after scoring 49 & pissing them off, in the most physical era of the NBA, as the Bulls' only offensive threat, after returning 3/4 of the way through the season from injury, made 63 possible by ice-cold knocking down free throws at the buzzer, made no excuses after he lost, and didn't call Isiah, Magic, or Olajuwon to team up next year. This is what GOATs do.
Imagine that, he didn't run to a better team. He stayed home an made that team better an eventually took them over the top. Over an over an over. I miss those old school mentalities.
What is that, lose? When Jordan retired to play baseball, the team only lost two more games than when he played with them the previous year. With essentially the same time. That's how you know he's not really in the conversation. Look what happens to teams when others leave them? Boston when Bird got injured? Teams James leaves? The impact the next year is huge. Jordan? Two games. Yeah. Still a great player, but way overrated.
@fearthemiamiheat this is Jordan in his second season, and he missed most of the season due to a broken foot. Game 1 he had 49 playing on a team trying to build a franchise with him being the first and most important piece. Your trying to compare Jordan(in year 2) with no other star players around to a Curry(with a championship team around him). Come on now your making yourself look bad.
Gosh, I so miss this basketball era. Intensity reigned. Disciplined focus. DJ seemed his best under pressure, always making a big shot. Bird raised everyone's level of play. MJ, as prolific as he was, needed to wait his turn behind Bird, Magic, and the Bad Boys.
MJ was even more amazing in person! MJ needed a group of outstanding players to win championships. The great Celtics, my favorite team, were hard to beat! This game is fun to watch.
Man Boston had one great team then….big…they could all get their shots individually, great defense…..but Jordan’s explosiveness, quickness, defense and basketball IQ…..learning the fundamentals I college under dean smith…..made him so good.
Yeah against "Atlanta".....while Jordan did it against Boston. Seriously read what you wrote. It makes no logical sense. You claim Bird is the GOAT while Jordan scored 60+ on Bird and his Team 😂
Great game, although in game one MJ was almost as impressive with 49 in regulation, no wonder Bird said he was the greatest after playing him in this series.
DavidC J hits 2 free throws in Boston with NO TIME LEFT to send it to overtime.. Why would the brick be talked about. This was the 20th game he played after his injury.
MJ had to Grind during the early stages of his career. The roster wasn’t good. Guy’s wasn’t committed to the game or winning like MJ was. When Pip & Horace Grant got there it took 3 yrs for their games to develop physically & mentally.

Yes sir. There is no question who is better. MJ dwarves LeBron James. Always did. No one like him.

🤣 That's funny.
LeBron will forever live in the shadow of Michael Jordan

These commercial are bringing back so many memories I needed this today
I love RUclips for things like this.
the closest we'll have to a time machine
STILL the all time playoff scoring record 🐐
MJ put the NBA on notice with this Legendary Performance.
@@DaleTrinihooperAustin if Steph scores 40 his team wins by 20, jordan scores 60 and his team loses by 4

Hey bro great video quality! hello from UT👋

Anyone else love the commercials? I always wanted a Louie the Large Mouth Bass when I was that age.
MJ had 30 at 3.30 of the 3rd, he's gonna more than double it, amazing
Double overtime
I’m a huge MJ guy, but I’ve never watched this before today, and I’m 40 😂
Im enjoying the ads just as much😂😂
That music during the line-ups at the beginning sounds like a Love Boat interlude.

Much props to DJ . He locked Jordan down on many plays, stripping him of the rock, swatting his mess. At least four bogus fouls on him
Talking about someone before identifying him and then catching himself is what he does...this Tommy Heinsohn....(I kid cuz I love, he was awesome)
The Men's health ad hahah
I love Larry bird this is why i like youtube
RUclips is on point 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
1:00:31 "im going to play basketball. thats what i am. a basketball player" by Michael Jeffrey Jordan
Slip up by Pat, saying the Lakers, hello, he's playing the Celtics, lol
So it's just going to cut out in the final seconds of the 4th then come back at the end of double overtime???
Great seeing these classic games. Disappointed with too many minutes edited out.
I know the man scored 63 but it could’ve been and probably should’ve been 65. That last foul on Walton (1:09:12) should’ve been a continuation.
Tommy let his Green slip at 44.05, forgot he wasn't on Sports Channel haha
33 - GOAT
Please don't forget it! Took Jordan overtime to get that many points. Bird did it in four quarters against Atlanta. Bird is the real goat

21:35 real defence
58.40, proof positive that Bird had "modern" 3-pt range. And he was stumbling from being run into, let's see Steph do that..
Larry bird 🌙 nightmare games, larry bird yelling help, help to coach k.c Jones
He was struggling but he kept playing & responded in the 4th quarter & overtime. I wish the Bulls would have won this game vs this Great Celtics team.
@31:08 the white what😮
WTH did Jordan say in the beginning
He told pat they were playing the Boston celtics not the Lakers
Players today would be fine sitting out the season if they were on a lousy team. Then they’d take talents elsewhere
These refs forgot they are refs and not players. All game long non stop fouls.
Bird choked big time this game. McHale was the best player for the Celts this game
Down 2, 30 seconds left, Jordan the brick...people will tell you that never happened
Say that in his prime you would never see the brick again.
So what? Every great player has missed a shot that could've given his team the win. You're basing Jordan's legacy on one missed basket? Lol
after playing 54 minutes 🤣🤣🤣when KD was airballing in OT after playing the exact same minutes. humans aren’t meant to exert that much energy lmao
Right lol and he scored 63😂@@MrRoda8143

Michael Jordan did NOT win a playoff series until his 4th year in the league.

That was Pippens rookie year and he was a non factor. J carried the entire team but Pippen did pass J the ball for the winning shot.
Oakley was extremely overrated the guy won zero rings
