Awww 🥹 I feel like I dreaded turning 30 so much when I was in my 20s. And then I was just like “oh, no, this is better.” Sometimes you gotta get there to appreciate it, I guess haha

And yeah haha it’s funny because I don’t think people think mystery when they think of fantasy but most of them seem to have something of a mystery so it’s a useful skill.

It's amazing to see you grow. I was here from your I got an agent videos and was truly inspired. It's funny because my mum thinks we look alike, I don't see it though. I'm also at the start of my self-published career with two books out and watching you encourages me to stay on the path. I really enjoyed Blood Like Magic and loving Delicious Monsters so far. Thank you!! Also, omg haha, literally yesterday I washed my hair and was stretching it to see the length lol. Honestly, I’m actually so bad with it 🙈 I wasn’t deranging well so I ripped a bunch of hair and now I have all these short little hairs that I have to gel down all the time. But I’m otherwise a very lazy natural lol but I do rarely use heat and have started doing more low manipulation stuff lately so it gets tangled less. I wear my hair out less too so maybe that’s helping
I wanna do braids next year but also so expensive 💀 so we’ll see
Hi! I have a quick question: When writing your book, how do you make it longer? My stories always seem to go by really fast, and all this crazy stuff happens and it's only like-three pages long. How would you fix that?
I am perhaps not a great person for this because all of my books end up being long without me making any effort to do so 😅 but what I find most contributes to that is the number of subplots in the book. I find that when I add subplots, it gets longer, and when I purposely do less subplots, it’s shorter. Also, worldbuilding. The more that I have to build up a world or complicated a magic system becomes, the more words.
So if you’re struggling with length, maybe try adding subplots and see it that helps?
