How To Test Testing Ceramic Capacitor /Non Polarized/ Non Polar/ AC Capacitor With Multimeter. in this video i demonstrated that how we can test a non polarized ceramic capacitor using multimeter in Ohm/Resistance mode, in continuity mode, in diode test mode and using capacitance mode. i used Fluke 179 True RMS multimeter, Uni-T UT202A+ true rms clamp meter, Tenma 72-8155 LCR meter, Aneng Q1 and B-09-33-B01 050303 Multi Function ESR meter, i demonstrated how to test the in-circuit capacitor
i demonstrated how to check esr of the capacitor.

Sir multimeter capacitance ko pico farad, microfarad ya nano farad m show karegha.
If I am right it's depends on ur multimeter features.
Kya pata wo sabhi ko microfarad m show kare.

How do you check the yellow capacitors on the power supply or safety capacitors?

In routine, I never check these capacitors. as class x or class y capacitor remain silent, these become short circuit, at that time it a prominent visible damage
but if the power supply damage again and again, specially MOSFET section. that time we need to verify the capacitance of these capacitors, for that purpose a simple capacitance test meter can be used. because it's reduced capacitance causes to create ringing effect above the corner frequency of the tank circuit

Thanks for the the video my digital meter is not an auto range and when i used the diode mode there's no beefing sound if the shorted component is tested tnx for the video that you giving me an idea to used the continuity mode ,diode mode and resistance mode in checking capacitor because my meter have no capacitance mode tnx for the video presentation

How do you test Polypropylene capacitor. How can you tell if they are defective?

MPP capacitors are normally tested in capacitance mode. as these capacitors are very précised and very close tolerance,
if the value is within tolerance limits, then the capacitor is good.
it can be tested using capacitance meter, LCR meter, ESR meter or or LCR bridge meter

Assalamu'alaikum.. Eid Mubarak. I using Analog ESR meter for testing all type capacitor, for Digital ESR sometime look good to see capacitance, but it can't detect a lack of electric current storage, so it's better if I use Analog ESR.
