      It IS really bad, but more telling to me is the misrepresentation shows that Morrisey DOESN'T LISTEN to opinions/views she doesn't like, which is really why she wrote this spurious motion in the first place. The law doesn't even allow a motion for reconsideration on a dismissal with prejudice! This woman doesn't even care about double jeopardy considerations?? I am SHOCKED that the Prosecutors' office even allowed Morrisey to bring this motion. It makes the Office look even worse than after all the Brady violations! Those are EMBARRASSING for the District Attorney's office, those will get you FIRED. How is Morrisey still working for them?? And just think how many sanctions/malicious prosecution lawsuits Baldwin could bring against the DA's office now. Our DA's office would never willingly open themselves up to civil liability.

      A) it’s so clear she doesn’t actually respect the court. With all the lies and bringing a motion AFTER a case is closed… like if they don’t pay Baldwins attorney fees I will be literally shocked.
      Number next) I’ve been thinking this whole dog and pony show was so super embarrassing for NM as a whole. They came in all hot thinking they were going to make an example out of a celebrity, but it turns out they just found out they need to do their jobs properly.
      Honestly I really think they should investigate a sample of prior cases she has won… Everything is under question now.

I know I wouldn’t want a career ending mark… but she COULD HAVE dealt with it the proper way and possibly could have had it removed/reduced etc etc. but after all this _gestures wildly in direct of Morrissey_ I would be surprised if the NM bar didn’t just say “well this is egregious, it stands”

    As I have said before - however much I dislike Baldwin, he was the least of the fish to fry. He should have only been charged with negligent handling of the firearm because he indeed did just that - all evidence and his own words had everything for that charge in the bag. The true causing defendants were Halls and Hannah, who should have both gotten the same charge and sentence of 18 months. Their responsibilities were to direct the safety of the set and they both failed miserably. Hannah should have quit when she found her roll was too overwhelming and if Halls was actually acting his role, he would have fired her, stuck to the rules of handling firearms, and held those safety meetings. Kari needs to be sanctioned and suspended for her role in the info dissemination issues and causing so much waste of money and not respecting the victims enough to do the right things with the right charges to the right people. I knew Baldwin's lawyers were going to rock the boat - they are far more sophisticated than all the other lawyers involved.

    Why can’t the court sanction this woman??? I watched some of her speaking about the motion and she had the stupendous audacity to blame the DEFENSE, because apparently buried somewhere in their discovery was an unlabeled PICTURE of the bullets (as though that’s a substitute for the entire pantheon of material that was utterly absent, like the interview and the fact that it was all hidden under a DIFFERENT CASE NUMBER). So apparently this photograph should have been enough to undo all of her nefarious BULL.
    P.s. Did ya notice that she NEVER mentioned the photo even once on the day they were arguing this in court? Why do you think that is…?…. You’d think THAT would have been a prudent time to mention it. My guess is it’s cuz SHE DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT THE PHOTO EITHER. And only remembered/realized/was reminded about it after the fact. Well gee, if the woman who put the discovery materials together didn’t notice her own photo, it’s kinda hypocritical to blame the defense for the very same thing.

      ...It seems like you missed some details so here's a couple of important details: 1. There was a certified Armourer whose job on set was to ensure the gun was safe for the actors and production crew to use for a prop. 2. There were supposed to be no live bullets there at all, but there was and it the suppressed evidence that got the trial tossed points to propmaster Seth as the likely source of the live bullets. He was given immunity from prosecution and even considered a specialist witness, which is totally inappropriate; he should have been charged for his part in making this tragedy happen, in the humble opinions of many.

      @@bevmacdonald9008 Is there a particular reason that you didn't address the evidence presented to the Judge that got Baldwin charged, or did you miss those details? "Likely source" isn't enough to say with full certainty that Seth is responsible for the live bullets, perhaps when lecturing online but not quite in a court of law.

    • @bevmacdonald9008
      @bevmacdonald9008 Месяц назад

      @@demi8890 considering that the exculpatory evidence that was suppressed is precisely the evidence that indicates it is most likely to have been him, it is not only inappropriate but it is highly incriminating to prosecutor KM, for him to be granted immunity and also to be used as an industry expert witness. In retrospect one can easily see he clearly used his testimony to incriminate Hannah and particularly as the one who brought the live ammo onto the movie set and put the bullet in the gun. It was Seth who told investigators that she likely brought them from her dad's armoury but as we found out from the suppressed evidence, in reality Thel had not brought home the ammo in question and so Hannah did not have ease of access to the bullets as Seth alleged. Seth and Thel had divided up said ammo after working on a movie together, but Hannah's dad had not brought his home but rather had left them with the retired cop who subsequently turned them in; the suppressed evidence. And as a final note, it was Seth and David who forbade Hannah from being inside the church (they said due to space limitations) and so against her better judgement Hannah stayed outside, passed the certified "cold gun" to Sarah, and Sarah took it inside and passed it to David, who then passed it to Baldwin. The reason I did not mention the alleged evidence cited to warrant charges is because it is irrelevant. There is a reason the judge dismissed the charges *with* *prejudice*

    • @bevmacdonald9008
      @bevmacdonald9008 Месяц назад

      @@danielweston9188 why would you think that? This was not her first gig as Armourer either. Btw, if there are failings of the State certification regulations or a lack of them, that is another matter. Hannah was hired by Propmaster Seth through his PDQ prop management company. It was Sarah whom Seth "trained and certified on set during production" . Seth had worked with Hannah's father previously on another old west film. That is where Seth (and Thel) got the old style bullets, one of which was the deadly round in question. It is notable that during testimony at trial, we learned that Sarah took the gun from Hannah outside, walked it into the church, and then she passed it to David Hall who then passed it to Baldwin.

    As a matter of basic gun safety I felt Baldwin should be prosecuted. Firstly, if a random citizen not on a film set accidentally shoots someone due to recklessness, they are always prosecuted. So I thought he should be treated like the rest of us. Second, his prosecution shows other actors to be more careful in the future so this doesn't happen again.

    As a person, I don't care about Alec Baldwin. However, I am glad his team was on the ball. I know enough about movie making that when I first heard about the tragedy, I blamed the arms master. Doesn't matter how new/inexperienced she was, the weapons are her responsibility. Frequently an AD will check a weapon before handing to an actor. But it has never been the responsibility of the actor to triple check the weapons handed to them. They're remembering lines, figuring out where their marks are they have to hit, rehearsing bits of business, etc. And that's what Baldwin was doing when the gun fired, unalived one person and damaged another. Why this even went to trial is beyond me. Had he been accused of shooting live ammo previously with the gun, yeah. Then as much his fault as hers, but that's not what anyone said. Yet everyone faults the man for ... doing his job. They're called accidents for a reason. And the court heard the information and dismissed, making a decision that stands. You can't undo that.
