After the review, got one and enjoy using it. Don't know who be 'traveling' with this but for small bathroom like mine and rechargeable to reducing cord clutter (take it out only when I need to recharge it) is excellent.
I had 2 of these both failed in less than 10 months. I took them apart to find the copper traces on the PCB covered in verdigris, with no water ingress. Also, the magnetic contacts pushed back into the housing which caused a charging problem. I had to push them back into place and re-glue the pins. I would only buy a rechargeable if I needed it for travel. The mains powered models are more reliable and you'll never have to worry about battery failure.
Ion is the best of the best. I've used the Ion Pro for about a year now after struggling for years with verrry short-lived Jetpik products that I loved. I love the cordless aspect and the large water tank. You never need to think about rotating handle as it is small and the hose moves easy unlike bulky cordless models. A charge lasts for a few months with twice a day use. Pro Tip. To charge, I have to use some vinegar on a swab and really rub down the contacts before charging and wiggle the magnetic connections around to ensure the best fit or it won't make the proper connection....look for a fade light pattern to indicate charging, NOT blinking.
hey your link to "Buy Waterpik ION" is dead, I suspect YT wrongly include " on" in your link. Hope you fix it early so you dont miss the commissions you deserved :)
Hi, does it slow down on slow battery or gives full beans and then dies, aka the smart way? The biggest con for me was bad cleaning when battery was less than 50% battery with cordless units like Panasonic, etc, it felt useless
I am torn between the Waterpik Sidekick and the Waterpik Ion. I have an Aqaurius that is my daily driver, but I want something for travel. What is your recommendation?
Whilst I think the ION is the all round better product, for travel specifically it has to be the Sidekick. It is just so much more compact. This assumes you are travelling fairly frequently by plane/train/car and staying for a few days/week at a time. If you travel for longer periods (weeks/months) and it is easier to take more with you, then the ION.
The light around the power button will stop flashing. From the manual - The charge indicator on the unit will glow while charging and then begin to flash momentarily every 3 seconds when the unit is fully charged.
Which one do you recommend ion professional or the orginal one what the difference between a these 2 I’m confused I’ve a flossing problem (it’s not like I don’t floss but I do) but when I went to dentist that said to me it’s not enough so I’m thinking to purchase this one but I’m so confused cause have a lot of variety’s out there can you please recommend me the best one for rechargeable because my bathrooms don’t have a power socket... does this work the same way as Aquarius model? Which one you much more preferred
There is little between them. But, I would generally pick the WF-11, standard ION, over the WF-12 Professional. It is cheaper and has a larger water tank. The pressure settings are arguably easier to change. The slight negative is the marginally smaller footprint of the professional. A more detailed comparison is within my hands-on review - www.electricteeth.com/waterpik-ion-cordless-review/ This is comparable to the Aquarius for sure and is one of, if not the only one that is rechargeable and has the benefits a countertop model brings. I don't want to sound too harsh, but better to pick one, such as this, and just begin using it rather than worrying too much about the 'right' model. 👍
There will now probably be 2 more update. The next should be out soonish. There was another delay, in the art of perfection. Now going through whitening and then bonding which takes a good few weeks. So, shorter pre-final update and then the final one.
I'm not aware of an Ultra Pro only an Ultra Plus. Slightly different pulses per minute. Waterpik ION: Pressure Range: 10 to 100 PSI ( 0.689 to 6.895 Bar ) Flow Rate per Minute : 13 Ounces ( 384 ml ) Pulses per Minute : 1300 Number of Pressure Settings : 10 Ultra Plus: Pressure Range: 10 to 100 PSI ( 0.689 to 6.895 Bar ) Flow Rate per Minute : 13 Ounces ( 384 ml ) Pulses per Minute : 1400 Number of Pressure Settings : 10
Apologies. I was trying to present the fact to show there is little between them. From a cleaning/power point of view I can't notice a difference as the specs really confirm. Do bear in mind I'm not testing these side by side each day. But I certainly don't recall any meaningful, noticeable difference. The power is impressive given the more compact nature of the ION. The small handle on the ION can make a bit more awkward to use than the Ultra Plus.

Thanks for sharing your experience David.

I have Sonicare Airfloos. Just ordered this one too. this will be used home while Philips for travelling :)
Appreciate your reviews keep it up man
Thank you very much for making video on waterpik ion
Hi! In your opinion, which is a better water flosser, the ION or the Aquarius?
Aquarius
@@ElectricTeethhow about Waterpik® Ultra Plus and Cordless Pearl Water Flosser Combo, this is only in Costco with good deal, it’s better than Aquarius?

Thank you for pointing this out, much appreciated. It should now be working.

From memory I think it works at full power until the battery is low.

thank you for the review. Can this model work while charging?
Good question. I don't recall specifically testing this. I want to say yes, but I can say 100%.
I can’t find this model on the website
www.waterpik.com/products/dental-water-flosser/WF-12CD020-1/
I used it twice then it suddenly stopped working and I can’t get it to work anymore! Maybe I got a bad unit
Definitely sounds like it. Return it for replacement and no doubt the replacement will be much better.
How do you know when its fully charged?
The light around the power button will stop flashing. From the manual - The charge indicator on the unit will glow while
charging and then begin to flash momentarily every 3 seconds when the unit is fully charged.
Will you be reviewing the Encompass mouthpiece toothbrush when it comes out in 2023?
Yes we intend to.

@@ElectricTeeth ty for the reply, Does the water pressure on ion standard is the same quality as the professional right?
Yes.
then why the WF-12 called the professional ?

Nice review but I was hoping to actually hear how loud it is. That is a criteria for me.
Sorry we didn't include the sound in it. We measured it at 80 decibels.
@@ElectricTeeth and how loud is the Waterpik Cordless Advanced? Is one noticeably louder than the other?
Kinda gross… but I guess you’re keeping it real😊
