Thanks! Let me know if you need any ideas... I've made a few changes since this video went up and have dialed in a few more things along the way. Excited to see your truck!
Was hoping for more details on what you ran into with the trans swap. My 99 V10 with a 4r100 has electrical issues. Keeps getting stuck in park... shifts erratically, im done with it. I suspect it needs a new wiring harness after replacing every electrical part. So its getting a manual harness if im replacing it all. Im beyond ready to swap it if im not reinventing the wheel here.
Thanks! I absolutely love it! It's certainly a tough rig to find, but arguably worth the hassle. A side note is that it might be more useful to find a V10 and 6 speed swap it... I've learned that the 6 speeds have a different size transmission hump which makes ZERO laser-cut floor mats fit! You can't buy any of the Husky or Weather Tech or anything that is a 'perfect fit' and you have to stick with the really basic ones. Just as an FYI
Tows great! You're not going to beat a diesel off the line or up the pass, but what you lose in a few minutes of your drive you MORE than make up for with the lack of maintenance cost!
I’ve got a crew cab short bed 2008 v10 zf6 and I think the v10 manual combo is the absolute best super duty combo out there.
That's a nice set up.
What an absolutely beautiful build! Im definitely taking some inspiration for my 2003 f350 v10 😁😁

Beautiful build. I’m looking for a 05-07 v10 6speed right now. Going to be hard to find!
