I was close to picking this ending, but opted not to because I couldn't bare to see all my companions become silent monks. Ended up choosing to release source to all of rivellon
who else pressed escape by accident cause the audio was too low, then came here to find this only to figure out the stories are ur choices... so you have to go back and redo the fight anyway. Edit: and here i am again twice the fool......................... i thought the panels were going to show my choices
The third option to be purged is always available to me. I don't know if it is required for the doctor to die or not but I always killed him in my game.
I played with a party of 4 the first time around. Both times were on normal difficulty and it's obviously easier with 6 members but the difference isn't much.
This is def best/Canon ending of Divinity 2 in my headcanon the protagonist is a Male Elf Battlemage called Arathorn who is destined to be the choosen one hero(Besides Sebille) of the Elves and bring them to a exodus n lead them to their own homeland continent

Ifan loves you for it.
@@Funkshoon how odd cuz the godwoke graphic novel hints that purging the source was cannonical
@@VChong1991 Maybe Ifan was the canon main character all along.
@@Funkshoon it seem so. Because if you have him as a companion hed hate you for purging the source...which is strange.
i love that no matter if you choose to be a god, you still can't get a fairy tail happy ending for all, it somehow makes the story feel down to earth
All I wanted was for the redhead wife to stay with me. Can't even choose to follow her at the end.
Leaves the story open and interesting to continue with a sequel!

I think pretty much every ending I had for my character was basically: "You did a thing. Was it a good or bad thing? Who knows!"
How did you get the third option did you killed the doctor in his manor or can do it without kill him.and only say go to hell?

The only ending where Ifan doesn't hate you either.
@@Funkshoon Ifan is the best bro in Divinity 2 n Sebille the best elf waifu
@@zenicehero9154 Sebille is probably better since she actually stays with you at the end. Too bad about Lohse.
@@Funkshoon Ive think Ifan and Lohse stayed together in the end
How did you save them all the companions
PC with mods.
