Your understanding of tones and values along with the mixing of them on and off the pallet seems so effortless. And your mastery of facial composition is perfect. In all colors exept black, cause black is the the lack of light, resuming back to the "all the colors" part that I was mentioning about: All colors have white in it, white is the essence of light, all tones have a light contoured figure.
@@LuanaJantz Yes if you wanted different colours, but certainly, you can make a black and white portrait with 10 values. Recently I did an acrylic paint Mural on my downstairs toilette wall, just using blue. I wanted to get in all the values first before I added colour and managed to do this with just dilution of water, the more dilution the lighter the colour. And a tip I realised was, if you use one colour make sure it's a really dark one, because you can get more values in, and surprisingly, very light ones too: obviously the absence of any colour was the lightest, but imagine you started with water and added a drop of dark paint, it would be almost as light as water, but just a shade different. Anyway I liked the wall mural value undercoating so much, that I decided to keep it and not add any more colour. It was a part of reykjavik on the water at night, from a photo.

I may be wrong, but I'm relatively certain that the focus of this video is to demonstrate that you don't need to have 50 different flesh tones to create an amazing portrait. The eye colour is irrelevant essentially if my hypothesis is correct. There is, as I previously noted, the possibility that I'm totally wrong. It's been known to happen from time to time. Lmao.
I made the previous comment before I had finished watching the video. Technically it was done only using 2 colours with black and white. The eyes were rendered hazel and it looked fine. He could have left it at that but decided after the fact to make them blue to contrast more.
@@powertothebauer296 No, they actually aren't colors in the traditional sense. White is the presence of all colors and black is the absence of color. They are used with colors to create value and for tints (white), tones (gray) and shades (black). Another way to look at it is like this: There are 3 primary colors that cannot be made by mixing other colors and those primary colors are what all other colors are mixed from. Therefore, if black and white are colors and red, blue and yellow are the primaries, what combination of those 3 colors would you mix to make black or white? I'm not trying to be argumentative or act like a dick; I'm just trying to educate you on some color theory. I thought the exact same thing as you until I learned otherwise.
4 MONTHS AGO ON YOUR VID "HOW TO MUX DARK SKIN TONES " YOU DEMONSTRATED WITH 4 SET OF COLORS. WOULD YOU SUGGEST TO USE THOSE 2 (GREEN,RED) ALSO AS DIFFERENT COMBO? IS THERE A WRONG OR RIGHT IN THAT? THANKS FOR SHARING! 🌺🌻
This are only different ways you can try, there is no wrong or right, for natural skin tones what you need is an orange, it can be Cadmium Orange Hue, Burtn Sienna or a mix of yellow and red (or in this case light green and red also mixes an orange). Then just add to that orange the colors your model needs, it can be more red, more violet, more brown, etc.

Her eyes went from green in the demo to blue (a primary colour) in the finished painting. Huh?
I noticed that too!!
I clicked specifically for that reason. Smart channel lol. Cause blue is a prime isnt it? And yeah, the final painting had lots done to it that we didnt get to see. Still talent nonetheless
they painted them blue at the end because that’s what the reference showed (they said it in a comment)
Cyan is the primary color not blue
@@squeen666 thank you
Great video. This colors are nearly complementers. Did you try it earlier with orange and deep blue or Yellow with purple? Maybe it works also. Thank you for your job.
This is incredible! Couldn't get my eyes off for a second during entire video....
What a joy to watch you work (while listening to birds). ❤️ Sub’d
Went from Charlize to Gaga to Scarlett with each nose correction. Amazing.
I just watched a video about mixing colors. Watching you employ those techniques was very interesting. I loved watching you create this picture come to life! Thank you for sharing 🙂
Absolutely stunning 😮 given me some help with my own artwork. Thank you so much. God bless 🙏😍😀
Oh Dios que ! Que talento! Felicidades👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💐
Thats Scarlett Johansen! Beautiful work Cesar!
it's a trance state , beautiful flow of vibes - sculpting "the soul" into the canvas ❤️
Marvellous painting skills, the more natural the more beautiful.
Phantastic. What you can do with 4 colours, and 2 (?) brushes. How long did you work on it in total? 2-3 hours maybe?
Yes, around 2-3 hrs.
Oh my, that is absolutely stunning, great job.💚🇨🇦
Very beautiful !! But you used blue for the eyes in the end as well, right ? So three coulors + black n white.
I love him but I’m disappointed he changed the eye color to blue at the very end and in the thumbnail.
Yes I used a little blue for her eyes at the end, because she has blue eyes and I wanted it to look more like her.
Impresionantemente bello. Gracias
Orgullosamente Mexicano 🥰💖
Wait wait wait, how did the eyes turn blue at the end :0
Amazing talent! But you had me at the birds tweeting. Very relaxing thank you.
The patience this takes...I just don’t have it. And I teach middle school...
Am I going to complain about not having such skill? Yes.
Am I going to put in the time and discipline required to develop it? No.
Fascinante....
This painting seems like hollywood star ,Morgan Fairchild, from her photo.🤔✅
Daisy Dragon this painting is of Scarlett Johansson
how do you see morgan fairchild lol, check a picture of her and scarlett J
a lot of diligence and commitment to produce such outstanding work
It's beautiful. I understand that black & white aren't colors. Using two colors are unbelievable. What a great artist. I loved every minute of the video. 💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Painting with 2 colors: green and red and WHITE and BLACK ;P
Técnicamente blanco y negro no son colores
white and black aren't colours
White and black don’t count.
@@crazyblanket What colour is coal?
To be absolutely precise white and black are tones used to tone, tint and shade the colour.
I’m amazed.!! Thanks for showing us every step of the way. It’s beautiful 💕
13 minutes in, those harsh black lines are giving me extreme anxiety
This is a good reason to start at the beginning.. the very basics. Ive painted too but in mixing im a real beginner still. This provides a great foundation of where to start as a student, one of many steps!
So talented. Thank you for sharing your insights, discoveries etc.. through your videos.
This one is very calm with the bird songs. I can focus better.
You are an amazing artist AND and amazing teacher! Glad I found you.
Thank you!
